we just got a new puppy, and she's super cute, but we JUST CAN'T SEEM TO NAME HER. if the mods take down this post, oh well.

Sadly im bad in giving names - my cat´s name is "katze" - the german word for cat ;D

Many name their pets after noticeable qualities the animal may have. You can choose a name based on the color of the puppy's fur or eyes, or after the pattern on its coat.

You can also choose a name based on its habits. Does it frequently tear shoes to shreds? Does it often defecate on your bed? Does it prefer to eat your food over its own?

You can name it after your favorite fictional character, or you can just give it a plain name, like John, Ryan, Jane, Amy, and so forth.

My dad named my dog in the most stupid of the ways ;_; See, he wanted to have a son called Jonathan, but all he got was 2 daughters. So he named the dog Jonathan.

So well, I'm walking around with him, and people stop me and say... 'wee how cute, how's he called?'

"Jonathan"

"Joe. Just call him Joe, ok"

Not to talk about the numerous times where people got offended for having a parent called Jonathan too. ;___; I call him Joe, Jo, anything but Jonathan. It's not cute. At all.xD

Well, Brazil is pretty much mixed...I don't think we have "true" brazilian names The most common ones for people are José, João, Maria...they're all from portugal

Mine, Daniela, comes from Italy....so you get the idea. >.>

I got to see someone really creative once though....the guy named his son DJHONNAHNTHAN. I read it and said "wtf.". Then I read it aloud...."jonathan". ¬¬'

It's also pretty common to find Williams and Washingtons around...seems when ppl want to be "chic" they name their sons with english names. Sounds really weird though xD

I had a dog, named Charlie, after Charlie Chaplin. xD It was my dad's idea. The funnier thing though was not the dog's name, but the fact, that there was a woman with a dog from the same breed... and with the same name. xD

Anyways, I think it's cool naming pets after your favorite characters, actors, musicians, etc. For example, a friend has a cat, named Snape, after Snape from Harry Potter. Sounds cool.

I got Wii Sports Resort today!!! Wii Motion Plus is a success as well as the game as a whole. So many more sports and I haven't even played half of them yet because I'm having too much fun with Basketball and Frisbee . I love the sword fighting as well, thats a long anticipated thing that people wanted to do in general when they saw the Wii concept for the first time. It feels great to be able to swing a sword . And the best part is, I NOW HAVE KENPACHI'S KENDO HAX!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Is the new motion plus really that much better than the previous one?

And how big of a difference will it be for like Virtua Tennis when it comes to motion sensoring, accuracy etc?

Not sure bout Virtua Tennis, but I know that it makes a huge difference. Like now if you are to take your hand and turn it around your head like your spinning a lasso, it will register that, also it registers wrist motion as well. It really makes a huge, difference. I was skeptical at first cause I was like "O NO NOT ANOTHER ATTACHMENT I NEED TO GET" but it really is worth it. Plus its not that bad to get them because it comes with a few games. I got Wii Sports Resort and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 so now I have two. So I recommend getting the motion plus, but get it with a game and not separately just cause you save some money and get a game, Plus it doesn't work on every game, just the newer ones that utilize that technology

O and I think It comes with Virtua Tennis as well since you seem to be interested in that game. So I'd buy that one and Wii Sports Resort if I was you then

I got a PS3 these days... really awesome when you add 50"TV and HDMI cables... the game comes to live and you can fly ^_^

That do indeed sound awesome Asus... I'm just afraid my economy can't afford a PS3 and a 50"TV... I have a like 36" or something. It works, 1080p gives flawless graphics

I might actually save up money for the wii motion thingy and Virtua Tennis. I've played vt at a friends place and it was AWESOME so I might save up for it...
Even tho it'll take a year because the school starts so I have to move back to my apartment... aah it was such a carefree time @ parents place... no bills... nothing :x lol (apart from appy bill)
I hope the new motion sensor thing will be available for like SSBB or a new SSB game. That would be cool. More intense movements and not just one-button spam.
