I'll be honest. I actually really enjoyed the April Fool's prank. It was very well-thought out and it seemed that quite a bit of creativity/planning was needed to carry out this trick. From what it seems, this year's April Fool's joke is quite different from the past. I believe it is a routine/custom every year for MangaHelpers to do an April Fools joke but this was my first time actually experiencing it, since I joined last year. Not only was I tricked, especially after reading the announcement because it seemed legit, I laughed so hard after quickly realizing that it was an April Fool's joke. What probably gave away the joke, at least for me, was the fact that when I tried to access the Fairy Tail forum, it said that I didn't have permission. If the forum really was not hidden but removed instead, that message probably wouldn't have appeared. Not to mention, it happened so fast that the whole transitioning seemed fake. For example, when MangaHelpers transitioned from vBulletin to XenForo, we got an announcement quite a long time before it actually went under maintenance.
Either way, what made this April Fool's joke even more funny was when the staff was playing along just to cover it up. At the end of the day though, this just shows how many people actually like this site. If I'm not mistaken, I even noticed that the number of people who registered on this site increased rapidly during that short period of time when the joke was still ongoing.
