Like the title says. I believe that Hatsu Will be the one facing Arie Hon in the future and defeat him. Hatsu’s character symbolizes strength and disciplin which is showcased a lot through the series. Furthermore, the only one I can think of to win against Arie Hon who is the master of the blade shinsoo is Hatsu.

What do you guys think?

The only thing Hatsu and Arie Hon have in common is that they both use swords to fight, besides that there is no real reason for Hatsu to risk his life by going up against Hon, the strongest leader of the 10 families. And winning is an even bigger stretch. Hatsu is strong and all, but he is does not belong to any of the 10 families himself and he certainly isn't a beast like Baam.

Honestly this does make me wonder about FUG's plan. They want to kill Zahard, but since Hon is guard/worshipper/whatever I assume he would try to protect him, but how does FUG even touch someone like Hon who has an immortality contract. FUG might have a hidden irregular but keeping that a secret is probably impossible so I don't see that being the case.

What I meant was that if Bam is going to defeat Jahad then there is a 99% chance that the other warriors will help Jahad except Gustang. And when the time comes someone Will have to fight Arie and that must be Hatsu.

Hatsu would be slaughtered if he faces Hon alone. I dk may be Vincente and few others might join him to keep Hon busy for some time. I doubt Hatsu can defeat Eudhans data in 10 yrs from now (TOG time line) forget defeating a fully grown fully powered and developed Eudhan or Arie.

You guys are underestimating Hatsu. Everyone that reads the manhwa knows that Hatsu trains everyday to become stronger which no other character in the series does. Furthermore, I think It’s indeed possible for him to win against Arie in 10 years if he continues to train everyday and have the same disciplin as he does right now.

As far as the prospect of hatsu ever defeating arie hon..... LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

ehem

Come on, this is clearly never going to happen. We saw hatsu not too long ago going up against aguero who was using a knife and the two clearly tied. And this is hatsu, having done the hell out of that "work hard" thing tower plebeians occasionally rant about against aguero, a jackass using a knife who had spent the entirety of his life until two arcs after that avoiding his talent like if it was a rabid rat made out of spiders and rachel. And even then this was a feat for hatsu, not aguero.

And it's not even hon that is the issue here, the arie have way too much going for them in general:

  • Their swordsmanship isn't as much swordsmanship as it is manipulating space. Hatsu cannot even be said to be playing the same game as an arie in general.
  • Arie swordsmanship cannot be avoided for the most part or blocked for the most part.
  • The arie have been repeatedly said to have the strongest fighting style in the tower.

Now lets look at how fights in the tower have played out so far. First hoaquin... He was defeated by bam but... bam did so using bullshit soul powers which also granted him actual arie swordsmanship for a bit.

Now ran vs inieta... Why did ran win this fight? Ran won entirely because his physical strength is bullshit levels of astounding. He literally won by tanking his way through omnidirectional slashes with his bare body (and I assume reinforcement as well) and nailing inieta with the mother of lightning spears.

And of course, zahard, the one person that has actually defeated hon. It's a bit of speculation on my part but I daresay he also won using the ran approach to omnidirectional space bending slashes. At least it seems pretty damn likely at least.

Considering how hatsu performed against aguero it is fairly clear hatsu as we last saw him is nowhere near close to being on his way to even defeating an standard arie, let alone fucking hon.

That said, I do think hatsu will eventually defeat an arie. It would be an absolute moment of glory for hatsu. Because he will have achieved something which the entirety of the context presented by the story said was impossible. He might do it because he lords an ignition weapon over his enemy or some other tenacity bullshit but I still think it is coming. But it won't be hon. It won't ever be hon. Hatsu defeating hon at swordsmanship is less likely than bam winning at physical strength against zahard.

Hatsu fought the devil of the left/right arm? And lost first time but got a second chance against him and won last time. If Hatsu would go up against Arie Hon one time and lose then he would 100% win the second time. Remember that Hatsu’s character symbolizes strength and disciplin and with that you can come very far. Furthermore, you can’t judge him yet because the rankers of the tower have a endless potential. Some rankers shine at the end and some doesen’t so if you think about the floor he is on now and when he reaches floor 100+. Don’t underestimate him.

Remember when Arie told White that he would never surpass him if he didn’t leave the place and despite White’s pact with the demon to get stronger he isn’t close to Arie’s level. And that is simply because he took a shortcut instead of training his butt off. Furthermore, Hatsu’s Swordsmanship Will become the strongest in the tower because of the hours he puts in his swordmanship and because he gives me a Zoro from One Piece vibe. Always train and have disciplin and you Will get there.

The devil of the left arm? You mean that half assed human ignition weapon from a storyline siu forgot? Come on. Hard work, strength, discipline... Within the context of ToG those are just nice sounding buzzwords. And ranker towers also do not have endless potential, where did you even get that idea? Controlling shinsoo is and has always been about talent. If hard work could take you far within the tower then you'd think hatzu, someone who works so hard even fucking part 1 naruto could take a class from him in that department, would have performed a bit better than aguero who made it all the way to the name hunt floor by mostly half assing it by ignoring his real talents. But no, hatzu tied that fight and that is an accomplishment for him. But it is not an accomplishment for aguero.

As far as the Hoaquin bit... isn't that exactly backwards? As far as we know when hoaquin was a child he was completely normal and had normal aspirations to be just like daddy or something. And hoaquin presumably was doing it by just training. And then hon kindly pointed out that it was impossible for hoaquin to do it there and to leave and become a demon. He didn't tell hoaquin to work hard or anything of the sort. Becoming a demon is not working hard. Of course, hon didn't tell hoaquin to go of eating souls either but it is reasonable to say his meaning was that he couldn't surpass hon by conventional means which would of course include mundane things like training really really really really hard.

Other important things that categorically disprove what you are suggesting regarding hard work: Shinwonryu and revolution. Hatzu regardless of how hard he works can never access either because he was born within the tower. Shinwonryu allowed halfway revolution bam to stop a strong ranker's attack... That's completely insane. And again, no amount of hard work will ever give this to hatz. And of course, shinwonryu in the context of hon is kinda ridiculous because we are talking an innately superior form of shinsoo control used by the strongest most bullshit space bending swordsmanship in the tower. When it comes to regular swordsmanship hatz simply isn't playing the same game as arie in general. And if we are talking about hon, hatz doesn't even understand the rules of the game.

The way things are going, hatz needs to up his game if he wants to make it to high ranker at all, let alone put a scratch on hon in one out of a billion fights... Win against hon in the second fight, please....

I don't see how Hatsu could beat Hon in a fair fight. Look at Hoaqin, who is a talented swordsman from the Arie, look at all the things he did to try to surpass the father... Look at how he is suffering because of this. The Heads are like gods to them.

I am not even sure how Hatsu can hold against Hon for 5 min much less imagine him ever beating him even in an unfair fight. Only Regulars who prolly can hold their own against someone like Hon is Ennie (MIA), Adori (ally), Baek Ryun (neutral party) and may be Lulsec (enemy).

Gotta say, I am really curious as to how non shinwonryu users manage to hold their ground against shinwonryu users, at least when it comes to people that high in the rankings. Enne, adori, mazino and several others should be at a significant disadvantage. Perhaps there is another shinsoo milestone normal shinsoo users can reach that allows them to somewhat close the gap? We just learned how learning shinsoo qualities helps you improve your tension and the results of said increased tension after all, the gang learning something else that allows them more power for their buck would more or less explain the situation. Alternatively, maybe enne and other people were just that good and all we can do is wonder how good they'd be if they had access to shinwonryu.

I do not think he will reach a quarter of his strength
Maybe he will reach the Top 200
I think this is the limit of his power
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Talent is the most important thing
There are gaps that do not close with training

Molic, one of the three lords (he is not an irregular), is so strong that even Jahad doesn't take him lightly.

as for the main topic, Arie stomps.

Hoaquin stands a better chance than him but he is still nothing to Arie.

I could imagine Hatsu one day taking Arie Hon on. It would be waaaaay in the future though. And he'd definitely need to unlock some hax abilities first and get some incredibly great sword.

The thing about Arie Hon is that he's still a swordsman. So as powerful as he is I could imagine him boiling everything down to test of swordsmanship and I feel like the sky is the limit for Hatsu in that respect. That being said, I think Hatsu will have a lot of opponents to beat before then. White for sure.

I also think Baam will probably pass Arie Hon's test on the 100th floor. Which isn't beating him but rather withstanding his attacks for 10 minutes. Doubt he'll actually beat him though.

Urek took the test and went toe to toe with hon though. IIRC hon supposedly even said urek was better than him... Bam in this arc is being set up to at least catch up to the 13 companions from back then, with that in mind it wouldn't be weird if bam surpasses what urek did. I guess it also depends on what urek's role in the story is meant to be though.... On the off chance that urek is also meant to be a post tog character for when urek finally escapes the tower there is a chance that bam is not meant to surpass him....

Depends on which course of time Bam meets Hon. If he is fully ready he should be stronger if not as strong as zahard. I doubt Hon can hold his own if Bam is that powerful.

Hatsu may be strong, but the most hype he's ever received was that his physical trait are as strong as someone from a Ten Families, the basic standards.

He was equal to Khun AA in that department so I highly doubt he will ever defeat Arie Hon. The chances are non-existence. The same goes for any other friends of Baam's. I don't think any of them would defeat a Great Warrior even if they all teamed up against one, much less against the strongest one among the Ten.

The only Warrior that might lose is probably Ari Han since his ranking is unknown. Still a BIG IF.

I think what we know now, Baam better beat Hon or else he is dead.

The most likely scenario is that bam will meet hon at his home in floor 100. A full 34 floors before he reaches zahard. I could see bam pulling an urek here. Though that is not necessarily the same as being as strong as zahard (zahard did beat hon 10 out of 10 times).

As far as hatsu, I maintain what I said earlier. No chance in hell. Certainly not in swordsmanship. Ever. Heck, just look at data eduan and zahard.... At the moment hatsu perhaps even with his ignition weapon would be foderized by either. To beat hon hatsu needs to at a minimum catch up to the level hon would have had at the hidden floor and then on top of that come up with a countermeasure for arie swordsmanship, which more talented and smarter people than him have yet to come up with.
