Done Help with these two sentences?

1. 引っ越し早々酷い目に遭った

2. 逆によき先生まで辿り着いたな


I know what they mean, but I just don't know how to express them in English properly. Can anyone help?
*This is from LovePlus Rinko Days Chapter 1, pages 6 and 13 respectively. Raws on Raw-Paradise.

I have no idea about the context of these sentences, so I'm probably off, but perhaps something along the lines of:

1. 引越し早々酷い目に遭って
Even after moving, I run into these awful eyes first thing [in the morning?].

2.　逆によき先生までたどり着いたな
Conversely, even Yogi-sensei struggled with it.

Does this help in any way?

酷い目に遭って is an expression meaning to "have a bad experience"

辿り着く　（たどりつく・tadoritsuku）　means reaching the goal with great efforts in spite of the hardships <This is my definition, so plz　see the link that mangafly listed for the official definition.>

よき＝よい　good

Ending with な　（na）, so the subject is probably You. In other Japanese words, I would put it something like .... 色々（いろいろ）あったが、がんばっていい先生（せんせい）になったな。
