nah i tried to skip the ant arc ( was tired to read it ), but i didn't not understand anything of what was going on after the ant arc. so i just stopped to read the manga.

the problem with the ant, it's such a nonsense trolling. They're OP, some ants beating master, that ruined the manga to me, didn't make much sense. I agree they have to be strong for Kirua and gon but for the rest, the author didn't know when to stop. that Ant king coming out of nowhere is just ridiculous. Imagine for example in OP, someone get created out of nowhere and suddenly he become stronger than all the yonkou gathered together?

He didn't come out of nowhere, it was a long process if you read the whole Ant Arc.

And that thinking is too simple. Granted, maybe he overdid it a bit with the power level but you have to get the message behind this.

Ants killing humans because they're just that much stronger than a lot of the Hunters. They don't care much about the killing because they believe they're the strongest and have the right to rule, at least that's what the strongest of them believed and the weaker ones followed their order. Awfully reminds you of the human race, who's mindlessly killing Ants because their appearance and power level is just too different. Near to no one really cares because well... they're just insects, aren't they?

Togashi just turned that around so you have to pay a closer look to see the irony behind it and the message he wanted to deliver.

hunter have ranking and all, some are legendary. HxH resolved about the mystery surrounding hunter, how strong and how capable they are. Now we already saw the highest level than a hunter can reach or close; make the whole thing boring now, don't feel like following Gon and kirua progress anymore. That was what was making HxH interesting

Well if that's all that interests you then k don't really agree with that but not in the mood for a discussion. Hunter x Hunter is pure epicness after the Ant Arc btw but just do what you want

cuz it was the best example i could give to describe the ridiculousness of those ants. It's like Bleach at the second part with Aizen. That guy suddenly becoming OOOOOOP and thing he created being OP, made the other captain who were introduced as fecking strong in the first part, totally useless. generally i dislike OOOOOP villain and never ending arc, unless the whole thing make sense.
