Well, according to mangabird the manga will be back in june.... about time.... I hope the author keeps going on for enough time to end the series even if the series ends within a year or so.

Not really sure about the source, but I assume it's a preview from the WSJ/ESJ announcement they made. Seems to be a legit ad, the japanese text says there will be more details in the next double issue of Weekly Shonen Jump (which we basically will get tomorrow here ).

The Return of Hunter X Hunter (Manga) starting this June 2014

Since I'm not seeing it here in the forums I'm gonna post it right now

"Hunter x Hunter" Manga Returning, Joining English "Weekly Shonen Jump"

The English and Japanese editions of Weekly Shonen Jump have announced the return of Yoshihiro Togashi's Hunter x Hunter manga, the latest hiatus of which began after the publication of Chapter 340 in March 2012.

Viz, who has released the series' collections, will also be carrying the manga's new chapters in its digital edition of Weekly Shonen Jump. Both the Japanese and English editions are promising more details in the issue out on April 28th.

Looking forward to it! Really excited even though I'm an anime only view XD
I'm kinda hoping madhouse can figure out a way to continue with the anime.. but it seems really unlikely and maybe togashi won't even finish the arc

I doubt things'll change in the rankings but I'm sure its going to do just as well as when the series releases volumes.

Relevant, big or better? Those are three different scenarios you are talking about. Is it highly relevant to japanese manga readers? It sure is. Is it big in japan? It sure is. Is it better? That's a subjective topic and looking at the topics covered by Oda during his long run, it can hardly become better overall.

I hope it resumes and ends for good. I would rather see the series end than continue for 10 years with more hiatus.
