I still believe he should co-op the manga with some young whipper snapper who has nothing better to do.

But that just leaves the argument of: Would you even care about Hxh if someone that apprenticed under Togashi took over it?

The most important part is the story so I wouldn't really mind if a decent artist took over doing the art. Still, I'd like Togashi to have regular and heavy input on the story rather than giving an artist a vague outline/summary and letting them run wild. Maybe someone he's collaborated with before, or an assistant?

That's actually good news if it's true, cause we'd know that he had written some chapters and the only thing in his way is his physical condition.

Hope that he feels good soon! Then, we will have him ready to serialize and maybe have a few volumes before his next hiatus (yes, guys, it's gonna happen another like always happen). But it's really good news.

Come on Togashi!
Don't let me down, i am at the beginning of Antarc with my rereading.

Oh boy!
I live with this for over a decade... He comes and goes. HxH is easily my favorite Manga.
But sadness is true when its not sure if it will ever be completed or not.

But he gave us all he great arcs. Ant Arc is my favorite out of all mangas i know.


Back then i was happily surprised after i read it in the Manga volumes, because everyone was mocking him for the kinda scetchy work in the Jump releases which later were spread all over the internet. BUT for the manga volumes they were completely redrawn in a perfect quality which too few people know about.

I was like "Togashi does something very important in his Hiatus", but now i dont really know what he does. Back then in the early hiatusses it was spread that he plays Dragon Quest all the time.
Its quite naive to think that he spends all of his time or much of his time with HxH.. I wonder if he even thinks about it from time to time.

If i were in his shoes it would piss me off to have something not completed.

But he is at a point where nobody wants an insanely rushed ending like with YuYuhakusho back than.
So a hiatus is better than a rushed continuation after all.

I can live with that.
Dont give up hope, but dont expect too much.

Aside from that, if that is true, it is a mixed back.
It definitely shows dedication that he has some chapters finished, but if he still struggles with his health after that long time, then it could be a permanent issue.

Fingers crossed that it isnt.

I mean some people say he has family issues. Some say he has health issues, he jokingly tells people at interviews he wants to be a pro gamer. Some people talk about him just having no work ethic. I know a lot of that is just stuff taken out of context, but if anyone has like a legit source why he is taking his break i'd like to see it.

Again, not complaining, but i'm honestly curious... i don't want to keep jokingly saying he is becoming a pro gamer if he is actually on the verge of death or something dramatic as some of the rumors say.

All the talk on Togashi I've seen are just speculation. I remember five years ago I was talking to some guy who totally doesn't care about HXH about how HXH is on hiatus and that guy was like, "I thought Togashi died?", and then it occurred to me that guy has as much insight as to why HXH is on hiatus compared to anyone else. Nobody actually knows why it's on hiatus and for all we know Togashi could've been abducted by aliens.

It's well known that he hated the preassure of working so hard for the editorial at the time of YYH. That's why he rushed the ending.
With hxh, because of the series being so famous he had some kind of freedom iirc and a lot of people asociated it with him playing Dragon Quest, lazyness, etc.
But know is his health problem, wich is an uncertain period of time

The thing with some chapters written is not that great of a thing imo. The dude probably has the WHOLE thing(history) on paper, he knows there's 4 more arcs and he's been delivering the best of the industry even with only 10 chapters. So probably he's sketching the pages, I think the story is completed and waiting since a long time ago..

I also think the story is mostly finished. There might be tweaks here and there or things he will change on the way, but i have no doubt that he knows which fate all of the maincharacters will meet in the end.

I also think that togashi thinks he is gonna pull through with it.
Honestly, i feel like he would at least hand the notes he has so far to madhouse if he thought he couldn't go on any longer.
