I really doubt there is going to be a year without HxH again.
If this hiatus gets longer, that just means the next is going to be shorter.
I believe in a steady pace of 10-15 chaps a year.

- New season of Sailor Moon Crystal is set to return on 2018.
- This year is 25th anniversary of Yu Yu Hakusho; but next year is 20th anniversary of HxH.

I really doubt that we will not get a chapter 2017.
Togashi intends to finish that manga and that pace would be unacceptable for that purpose.

Also, lately his condition seemed to be okay, so I don*t see a reason why we wouldnt get the usual 10 chaps a year.

If we are gonna speculate randomly let's at least find a pattern to his latest hiatuses (starting from 2012). He took two years more or less (from March 2012 to June 2014, then from August 2014 till April 2016). Hence 2018 would be the year where he should return...unless he's aiming to break a new hiatus record...Go for it Togashi !!
