The plans of Kaguya, Madara, Obito or whoelse depends entirely on the existence of all nine Bijuu. But the Bijuu are not immortal, in fact Kurama mentioned that if Naruto died he too would die. That was a crucial point in the series, the only reason he lent his Chakra to Naruto early was to save his own life. He wouldn't have saved Naruto's life if he gained his freedom when he died.
The Bijuu are not invincible, we have seen Kages or Akatsuki members withholding them. It seems hard to believe that in a world that has been in war for a thousand years they were never harmed. But let's forget about the Bijuu themselves, what about the jinchuriki? Humans die all the time in the real world, the elder who served as Shukaku jinchuriki could have had a heart attack. So I am supposed to accept that no jinchuriki ever died in a Shinobi world, were the Bijuus are sealed even in stupid or psychotic children?
