So, we know that Acnologia became the Arcane Dragon or Dragon of Magic by bathing in the blood of countless dragons so much so that his Slayer Magic became magic itself. This heavily implies that he bathed in so much blood in all his years, that he absorbed every single type of magic.

Hence comes my question. This could not have happened overnight. So, how does this work? Did Acnologia gain different types of magic depending on the dragon he bathed in? For example, if he bathed in the blood of a Water Dragon, would he have gained the power of a Water Dragon Slayer, then he bathed in the blood of a Nature Dragon, does he immediately gain that element? Would it take multiple bathing's or just the one to take that magic type? Does him bathing in the blood of dragons make his Dragon Slayer Magic more potent and powerful than simply being taught by one?

From what I recall, I don't believe this was explained in the story, we know that eating the flesh of a dragon gives you it's element/ability immediately, but does this work the same with bathing in dragon blood? Is Acno's method more potent than simply eating the flesh?​

You acting like he took literal baths, he slaughtered them and was then covered in the blood of their species as he wiped it out. That did the trick. It's not discussed because it's a byproduct not an actual plan, per se. An it's not repeatable bc he wiped them out, barring a handful so far.
