After reading Naruto chapter 416, I contemplating how is Naruto going to stop Sasuke without killing him. He gave his word, promise (this is what I believe) to Itachi that if Sasuke ever plans on attacking Konoha, then he will protect both Konoha and stop Sasuke without killing him. And by the looks of it, I presume, Itachi believed Naruto's conviction about Sasuke, and that's why he gave him a part (or half) his power. And now Sasuke is so full of hate, anger, and abhorrance declares that he will destroy everyone in Konoha, including the elders. No one will be spared if they try {Konoha's people) to stop or disobey him. (I predicted this will happen, and for once I didn't like this prediction coming true). I can understand his feelings, because hate always begets hate. It's never ending cycle, and Naruto's role, as the destined child, is stop this vicious never ending cycle of hate and discrimination and promote peace. But how is he actually going to stop him because even though Naruto is the main character, he is weak compared to Sasuke in fight skills. Even the Databook 3 confirms this speculation as well. And I don't think that he has mastered Sage techniques enough that he can go par on par with Sasuke at the moment, since Sasuke will attack Konoha soon. I also don't think Sasuke will hesitate on killing Naruto, even though he may remembered them while fighting Hachibi.
I also think that Madara might have twisted the "truth" a bit in his favor so that Sasuke's rage doesn't fall on him. But it's all in Kishimoto's mind whether or not Madara is speaking the truth or not.

But my ambigiousness rises here, how is Naruto gonna stop Sasuke without killing him. I have no doubt in my mind that Sasuke won't hesitate to kill Naruto. Sasuke Vs Naruto is certain, and will happen -- even Zorc the Dark One can't stop that from not happening. But in Sasuke vs Naruto battle, it's Naruto that often holds back, not Sasuke. So how is gonna save Sasuke and keep his word. In a way, Naruto will have to mature (while albeits keeping his childishness) to help his brother who has lost completely to the darkness. But how, only Kishimoto knows....
Okay this is my first official thread, and I hope it's appropriate. Please tell me if I made any mistakes or anything by posting this thread.

Okay, after reading Naruto Chapter 416, we are finally shown, as per what Kishimoto is showing, that Sasuke has finally succumbed to his inner darkness -- his hatred and vengence. He has succumbed so much that he now wants to slaughter Konoha, like Itachi did the Uchiha clan, and not just the higher up council members. Everyone is and will be his target, one who tries to stop him, and those who resists and disobeys him-- in other words, no mercy for anyone in Konoha. Some believe that he is bluffing with Tobi, and Akatsuki to gain their trust, but looking at his dangerous MS eyes, I'm thinking what he is saying is the truth. (But I could be wrong, and I hope I'm). Personally, Sasuke is Kishimoto's favourite, and up till now he has never killed anyone in cold blood. As I said in previous threads (at different places) that hate begets hate, violence creates more violence, and discrimination creates more discrimination. It is something we learn by observing how other act, especially when the society sees something that is contradictory against their rules and beleifs, bigotry will be born just because it's (whatever that it's) different. And Naruto is no different. Discrimination is shown in all its glory and beauty. Look at the Jinchuuriki's, people with kekkai genkai, and several others -- Kishimoto doesn't hold back when it comes to create discrimination.
This will no doubt create a conflict between Sasuke and Naruto, if Sasuke attacks Konoha. Sasuke wants to destroy Naruto's home and his precious people, and Naruto will protect his home at any cost, because they are his family (especially the new generation children, Kakashi-sensei, Yamato sensei, Gai, Tsunade baa-chan, and others.) But we also know Naruto will never kill Sasuke, whom he considers as a brother (even if others tell to give up on him). Not to mention he has given his word to Itachi and Sakura that he'll bring Sasuke home without killing him.
When Naruto tells Itachi that if a time ever came to make a choice between Konoha and Sasuke, then he will protect Konoha and stop Sasuke without killing him, and he gives his word to Itachi. May be after listening to his convictions about not giving up on Sasuke no matter what happens, I presume, made Itachi give some of his own power to Naruto. It's Naruto convictions that makes Itachi believe that the only person who has power to stop Sasuke's hate (in case he get misguided and chooses the wrong path) without harming is Naruto. And it's ironic that the book Naruto reads says the exact same thing -- to stop hatred and create peace. Naruto represents Itachi's ideals to protect both Konoha and Sasuke. And not just from himself (Sasuke's own hate) but also from those who wish to harm / manipulate him (probably Madara because Itachi did warn Naruto that Sasuke's purity can be corrupted) as well as from Konoha. Konoha isn't going sit back and let him rest after he attacks Konoha. No Siree. They are going to send ANBU and other assasins, and probably try to assainate him, and they'll probably try to restrict Naruto from helping and saving Sasuke.
