Recent events have gotten me thinking about this. Certainly, other series have had VERY long runs. Heck, a second year could be fascinating. Imagine the freshman recruiting class, the reaction of some Devilbats who have to defend their starting positions for the first time against actually dedicated "intruders" to their tight-knit circle. (Never mind other new characters and never before seen teams.) Imagine their next game against Agon... and shudder.
Now, I'm sure many folks would rather the story last only a year, to protect against future potential lapse in quality, and maybe that's the way to go. But still, how long should/could the series last?
