Holy crap, this is really well done! Pariston is one of may favourite characters which makes it even cooler. I LOL'ed hard at the 1:00 where Pariston was pissing Cheadle off with the tambourine XD XD XD

Does anybody have some data concerning the sales of the Hunter's BD/DVD discs ?
I heard they're miserable, therefore I'm a bit unsettled about the anime being cancelled.

Maybe episode 26? Most of series change Op/Ed twice a year, ~every 26 episodes.

Disc sales don't matter. It's running in a daytime slot so "success" is based more on ratings and merchandise. As far as those things go, HxH gets pretty decent ratings for it's timeslot, and a merchandising campaign was started recently, so my assumption at the moment is that it shouldn't have any trouble getting renewed for a second year.

I actually enjoyed Mike. I don't know, it's not THAT far from both versions (Nippon and Manga)

Particularly enjoyed Gon's mad face this episode. Everyone got their best faces xD

Leaving the fur's colour aside, it's the angle from the manga panel that gives this scene a creepier impact. I've noticed that Madhouse has got the habit of zooming in some scenes.

Gotoh's introduction was badass! Plus he's got a pretty awesome voice (same guy who voiced Pain in Naruto). As for Mike, yeah his appearance in the manga was a bit scarier. But the closeup of his in the anime, that was just too creepy (not to mention the music that went along with that scene). I think Madhouse has done a great job so far handling both light and dark scenes.

Oh, and I almost thought that there was going to be a new ending when the rock music started playing as the episode was ending . It was a pretty cool track.

It's the tounged-out and raised paw that made the difference. The second image is just Mike looming on Gon. The manga-Mike was drawn like a big giant dog who can't wait to EAT Gon and was POISED TO ATTACK any minute now. Mike: Ooooh... I see FOOD~

It´s a english trailer for Animax Asia with subbed scence.

It looks and sound like a trailer I'd see from friggin nickolodeon, cept with subs. oh well, what I wanna know is who's the comapany that got the lisencing rights for the U.S. I'm still teetering on wether or not I wanna go out and hunt down all the currently released manga volumes, so I'm really betting on this to help with my collection and be released here.

Yeah, I wish I knew which company has the rights to the anime in the U.S. too, because I really wan't to buy some HxH Blu-Rays to add to my HUNTER X HUNTER collection lol.

Assuming Zebro was using nen what do you think of the sound effect they used?
Sorta sounded like a wind storm or something. Which is interesting.

I do think the 1999 nen sound effect was really cool with it sorta sounding like a light saber hum

But I wonder if they are going more for a "nature" sound in this version?
Would be cool if each person's nen had it's own sound effect. Especially when dealing with Hatsu

Actually Viz has claimed numerous times on Facebook that someone beat to the license for the show even after it started airing on Crunchyroll. It;s likely someone does have it. Probably not Funimation though since they apparently didn't even know the reboot existed till it started airing.
