As for the episode, i thought it was great, but of course people new to HxH want to see actual fights now. Next week should give them some love.. lol

Well it was the same length as any other episode. It seems that they are still going 2 chapters an episode. :P

More likely the week after. It's gonna be learning about nen next week. Though we MIGHT see Gon vs Gido depending on how long it takes to do the nen explanation.


BTW did anyone see Zushi use Gyo in the ending?

That clip of her tearing up was from back sometime last year when the cast was revealed. She was so happy to be playing Gon that she cried.
I can't seem to find that clip itself but it's out there somewhere haha

One last thing, I actually think that this opening will change once York New begins, the song is too related to Heaven's Arena. I think we will get a whole new song entirely for York New, but Hunting for your Dream will stay

As if the Spiders couldn't look more beast.

Chrollo looked especially creepy.

BTW notice how in the opening they are reusing the parts where Gon fights with a fishing rod, Killua kicks, Kurapika with wooden swords, Leorio gets tossed around...

I suspect that will change in some time to them using their nen techniques.

O alrighty, well good for her! lol, I think Hisoka's presence makes up for the fights.

This episode was AWESOME! Loved the new Opening scenes and lyrics (though I'm pretty sure they're changing it for Yorkshin), the ending is totally epic too!

Zushi's and Wing's VAs were also pretty good. Can't wait until next week!

I just realized at Hisoka's costume is wrong at the end of the opening where it's him vs Gon. They should've fixed that

Nobunaga is different, but then in the ending, he doesn't look -as- weird. Will have to wait until an actual episode with him to determine if I like it or not ><

Also, Baise looks completely different in the ending... Glad Melody looks like that though and not her initial appearance.

Man looking back, the Spiders looked pretty bland and boring in the 99 series, especially compared to their appearances in 2011 series. I mean, Phinks looks really bad in 99 and Paku doesn't have that strange sex appeal to her that she did in the manga and looks to have in 2011. I don't see much difference in Nobu besides his face looking more details in 2011. I also absolutely detest Bonolenov's design in 99 lol I think their designs in 2011 look so freaking sexy, I can hardly wait until their arrival!

That's because they recycled it from the first opening.

Though I suspect they did so as to not spoil because I think they will change it to the characters using nen.

The themes: I'm sad it wasn't a remake but I love the new animations for the OP. and for the ed... I didn't think much of it at first, but I'm replaying this through mobile youtube as I type this

The episode: Awesome. and to think this is simply the tip of the iceberg! I love how the tower looks at night, it really has that night club-ish sort of look, and when you think about it, this place is like a sign up verion of the WWFL (I think I got that right). Killua vs. Zushi went smoothly, and I like how they handled the scene when Zushi used ren. and thinking back, I bet when killua was watching him and wing talk He KNEW killua was there

Wing always reminded me of kiyomaro from gash bell for some reason. maybe its just the hair?

anyway, this ep gets a solid 9/10 in my book, and knowing the next episodes REALLY get into the meat of things, I may just be tossing out 10's XD

as for the hunterpedia section, as I thought they made gon and killua nice and chibi, but there were speaking so fast and there were so many subs, I was having toruble keeping an eye on everything! I'll have to rewatch that and pause XD

Alright, photo request time: Killua getting pissed at the betting result, a shot of gon with his hand out from pushing some poor chump, hand facing towards you, Gon and killua being explained nen by zushi, both thier facial expressions and back headed expressions, and finally... well acctually thats it, I got the gyo pic, so I'm good on that! your contributions will help make great mots!

and one final thing, if ANYONE can tell me where I can find that interview with megumi han for the HxH stuff COMPLETELY subbed, let me know.

Also yeah the Spiders look bland there but to be fair it's just mug shots.

Here's a more "exciting" picture of them from the 1999 series. Though the 2011 Spiders still more interesting to look at.

Spiders are definitely improved. On a good art day I think they look fine in the 1999 series, but this is just much better. The new ep was pretty good but I feel like the most exciting bits for me were all the Yorknew fanservice since its my favorite arc in the series.

BTW anyone else think Zushi looked cool when he was using his other stance? His eyebrows were just so intense!
