I particularly like how they draw the Genei Ryodan. Particularly Nobunaga, which pleases me to have his long face accentuated.

Also, an enjoyable episode, though the little change with Killua getting in the butler's mansion before Gon & Co. was uncalled for in my opinion. In the manga, Killua only gets there after Gotoh's game, which helps make it clear that he was just using the coin game to pass the time. In the anime you can't be so sure.
And I'm also excited about the next arc. We are finally getting into the Celestial Tower, w00t! \o/

I think both versions work because both are possible theories of Gotoh's characters

1. Gotoh is passing the time

2. Gotoh is testing Gon, Kurapika and Leorio to see if they are true friends of Killua

The poster looks a lot better without all those text.

Initially, I was skeptic of Madhouse ability in rebooting the HxH series.But now, I think they are doing a really good job.The animation quality is actually a whole better compare to the 1999 version .And through out the Zoldyck arc ,they did a really good job with the colour choices and the lighting of some scenes.
I can't wait to see how they will handle the celestial tower arc.
I just hope HxH don't get cancel for some apparent reason before they even reach the chimera ant arc.That is the one arc I'm most looking forward to.

I really enjoyed this episode, and, while it bugged me for a second or so, the whole "Killua was already there" thing doesn't really change anything in the long run. I think it was pretty consistent with the manga.

I'm more curious about the new OP and ED...

So... I have a feeling I might not like this Kuroro as much as I did the one from the 1999 anime or the one from the manga (I mean what's with his nose? it seems kinda too long or something? Pakunoda should be the only one with a ridiculously long nose among my favorite villains...), and I kinda dislike Shizuku and Phinx's design for some reason... also, I liked how Kurapika looked cooler and older in the Yorkshin arc in the 1999 anime (although it's not so in the manga), it seems he won't be looking any older in this remake. Oh well, I can live with that, I suppose. As for the rest of the Ryodan members and Wong with Zushi, they look superb. Especially Uvo and Franklin. And I take it they decided to keep Machi's purple haircolor instead of pink? I'm not complaining here, I actually like her better with dark purple hair, so it's all good.

My immediate concern is that if there're 2 arcs on that poster, then does that mean they'll plan to use one OP for both? With 'Departure 2nd version' as its song...? No, please no...

If you look closely, it's not that Kuroro has long nose...it's perspective what makes that weird effect.

Only nitpick...

Wish they didn't use the Zoldyck Family Theme for Gotoh. I mean...he's a butler.

But oh well Gotoh is awesome.

I should clarify something. While I was a little disappointed that they used the Zoldyck Family Theme for Gotoh I DO think it was used excellent in the episode.
Just how Gotoh tells Gon to "silence!" so that we can listen to the beast theme that is the Zoldyck Family Theme was pretty awesome. Though I suppose
I'll have to call it the Zoldyck Estate Theme because it's more accurate now than Zoldyck Family theme.

BTW can any of you do the Gotoh coin trick? Not any of the crazy fast stuff but just a simple flip and catch. Or the double coin trick?

Actually realistically speaking Chrollo's nose is a common size for a guy. It might be slightly bigger than average but by no means is it 'HUGE".

Anime tends to draw noses smaller than they really are (and of courses eyes bigger than they really are.)
Especially with women. While women tend to have smaller noses than men it's not always the case
and a women with a "large" nose isn't necessarily unattractive. It's really more how everything
"adds up" then the individual features. Well for me at least.

But in any case Chrollo's nose is by no means "huge".

Bonolenov looks quite different... and Franklin looks more like his initial appearance in the manga. Everyone else looks pretty much the same.

You said "ridiculously long". Which is more or less the same thing as having a "huge" nose.
Sorry for not using the exact same term as you did. Ok, just replace everytime I said huge with "ridiculously long" and you should get the point.

Of course Chrollo isn't a woman. I never said he was. I was just saying that anime tends to make noses small for everyone especially in the case of woman.

The point of my post was that in real life it's actual rather common for someone to have what you would consider a "ridiculously long" nose.
And also that Chrollo's nose is actually a rather normal size.

Actually yes I do like Pakunoda's design. I like characters that look unique and aren't cardboard cutouts.
As far as how attractive she is. I dunno. It depends on how well she's drawn.
Though I don't think she is meant to be an "ugly" character otherwise Togashi
should have kept her initial design. She looked like a witch back then.

Also speaking of original designs I thought Melody's was cool. Nothing feminine about her back then.
I mean she's still not that feminine but in a weird way she's still cute in a ziggy type way. Everyone loves ziggy.

But her original design was like Quasimodo or something. Like she was some miniature ogre.
It was awesome because KurapikaxMelody is such an awesome crack pairing. Dude who looks
like a lady falls for lady that looks like a man. Beautiful.

I do hope Hunter can come back from hiatus as soon as it can. I don't really think the right side of the poster makes Hisoka out to be a good guy so much as it shows how he's not really part of the Spiders. Hm, I gotta say did this poster really need its own thread? It feels related to the 2011 anime so why isn't it just a part of that topic? Maybe we could make a merchandise topic once more of that comes out and merge this with that. Just my thoughts, Also I gotta admit, I wish Kurapika looked a tiny bit older since he's wearing his later outfit. He just seems so chibi compared to the manga version of him during Yorknew I hope he looks good in the actual Yorknew eps.

I meant it in a joking matter. Of course Hisoka isn't good. But you would kinda expect to see him on the dark side of the poster.
Also showing he's against the Spiders is a bit spoilerish in a way wouldn't you say? Though wonder if people will figure that out?

To me it doesn't look like a good/evil separation. I see it as the two arcs, with the "big boss" of each arc at the top.

Melody and Pakunoda are easily two of the best (to me the best + Biscuit and Palm) females in Hunter x Hunter I am really excited to see everyone in gorgeous HD animation. I made a big grin when I saw Hisoka's ball belly from Heaven's Arena is going to be in the anime. So COOL!

One joke they left out (probably for the sake of time) that I like...

After Killua demonstrates the difference between Hanzo and Hisoka

Gon: How did you do that?
Killua: What? Drawing on the floor? Nothing to it!

Lol.

Though it's not much of a big deal it was left out. I just thought the line was humorous.

I did like the one scene where Killua tells Gon that he doesn't stand a chance against Hisoka and Gon has this super sad face with the little beady eyes.
Togashi always does pretty well with the face faults and I really enjoy it when the anime adds them in.
