i didnt know hunter x hunter was the same artist of yu yu hakusho
but i DID kinda watch yu yu hakusho...it really wasnt that good...
i quit not halfway yet of the series =/
leaves no impression unlike hunter x hunter

And not only that while Morau is waiting for Pufu to ''transform'' Pufu is escaping slowly from the smoke jail. That's unexpected and awesome at the same time!

The arc started getting better again after they reached the castle. the entire battle is very well thought out. i wonder what happened to Palm, she is still inside the castle somewhere.

@Pufu. that was very uxexpected. Morau might suspect smething when the cocoon starts getting smaller and smaller.

@Yuyu Hakusho. that was the first anime i got really into. They have cool characters and a simple story.

though, you can see some elements in HxH is influenced by Dragon Ball series, but HxH is unique enough to be in its own categories, so "cell saga" is i guess an understatement for this horrific though a bit confusing "man-eater insect arc"

well i only start reading this about a day or two ago and now i caught up (though i pretty much skimming through the current arc)

Togashi-sensei has my deep respect. His art improve so much since yuyu hakusho, and so is the plot. I really like most of his minor characters (all of whom whether bad of good end up dead). As for his main characters, they all are likeable.

As for Gon, the main character is quite unique even compare to other character from the same shonen genre such as Luffy from OP, naruto from naruto, and ichigo from bleach....

His flaw is more I can relate to than Luffy, ichigo, and naruto.

Togashi improved also his writing. It's psychological warfare now, we see real raw emotions out of a shonen...Everything is epic now, it looks like Netero VS King is the battle of the century.

I actually felt this arc started getting better before they reached the castle already. The king's games against Komugi, Killua removing Illumi's needle and befriending Ikarugo, Gon befriending Meleoron; introducing awesome characters like Knuckle, Palm, (and to a somewhat lesser extent imo) Shoot.
There were always great ideas in this arc, but the execution only became really good after a couple of volumes.

I really like some of the things that came with this arc. Morau and his smoke ability is genius. Netero's history and the way it was handled in only 9 pages was amazing. Not to mention we get to see the training Gon and Killua went through put to the test. The only problem I have is the enemy. Just too hard to believe in the chimera ant premise, or the fact that they became skill enough to take on the Hunters even though experience was supposed to be important. That said it still is a pretty damn good arc, especially the chapters since Togashi came back. Ch 261 to 269 are probably the best chapter set I have ever read, only matched by Naruto and Sasuke's fight.

Actually Morau didn't make the smoke cocoon come into contact with Pufu's skin. He just made a prison with breathing space.

I meant the black cocoon (Pufu's wings) he wrapped himself in. soon Pufu will shrink and Morau will sense something is up. or the only thing left behind will be a shell of pufu's skin.

Mr. Togashi, please take a rest ok! Your story moves me a lot! i wish to see Gon meet his father. I want to know Gin's power and want to know what will happen to Genei Ryodan and Kurapica, if they will ever meet again. Or, Hisoka vs Kururo.
I also wonder who will defeat the King coz he's damn too powerful, powerful than the Royal Guards who are like monsters. And what will happen to Netero... the best hunter in the world, at his peak! Zoldyck, want to see more of them. How Killua evolved in the story is amazing after that fight with a Chimera soldier. Wow, Gon is like Gokou now, Jajanken = Kamehame. I hope Kaito and Palm are still alive. Nen ability is kinda something that is so unique about this manga.
I hope Mr. Togashi hires someone to draw the manga if he is sick but continues to supervise the ending of the story. Pls hold on Mr. Togashi, we are here to support all the way!!!

And I agree with everything you said.
I also cant wait to see Kuroro vs. Hisoka, its gonna be unbelievable. for once Hisoka will be the underdog.
