Perhaps we're missing some part of the dialogue, and Knuckle bargains with Yupi to rescind Potclean in exchange for Morau's life.

You know, Netero really is in deep trouble now, since both Yupi and Pufu will be going to meet the King. He will be left alone with three monsters.

If let alone, the King would eventually become soft by the influence of that blind girl (Komugi I think, can't ever recall her name -_- ) and perhaps be demoted from his goals. The invasion stopped that process, made Meleoron's skill known by the King's guards, made Yupi far more powerful than he was before, put all of these hunters' lives in serious danger, and didn't gain a thing so far (there's no telling yet if Pitou will really live up to its word after healing Komugi). This invasion shouldn't have ever happened! lol

Netero is a great character, but I don't really see how he's going to make it out alive... nobody can save him...

This is truly epic. I never expected that Knuckle would cancel Potclean. I guess he did that because he saw it as the only way to save Morau. I remember him saying, "there are other things more important than this world," at earlier chapters. However, that also stands as a disregard to their efforts. This is also one of the most emotional turning point of the entire arc. Yupi starts to develop sympathy and he becomes aware of his human side whereas Knuckle feels like his pride is completely eradicated.

As expected from the chairman his hatsu is godly awesome, the King is unscatched after that direct hit attack and now he takes a fighting stance! Their fight is going to be awesome. But Novu looks pitiful....

-Novu was left in despair, Novu in this chapter = the worst
-Netero vs the King
as expected a big fight, the King fighting stance is strange (he has more arms and legs?) it's just only started, the best is yet to come

I agree with you. Novu will probably never recover from this experience.
But now to the King I thought that he too was moving his arms slowly like Netero did. Look at his tail, it didn't multiply.

I dont think potclean is gone, perhaps Knuckle used In, to cloak potclean, I mean wasnt there a chapter that talked about potclean and how it would effect Yupi in the end. I mean if its true then I think Killua is going to have to finish Yupi, after all Yupi has unfinished business with Killua. I'am leaving Pitou up to just Gon, rather than Gon & Killua vs Pitou.

Ha! I still believe Netero isn't materialization, and that this move wasn't his best. Contrary to what was said earlier, that he would want to finish the fight quickly, perhaps he wanted to see what was the king's true potential before wasting his best move unadvertedly. My bet still lays on the transformation nen for him. ^^

Netero's become well-rounded, that's for sure. His reinforcement is obviously maxed out. I disagree with him testing Meruem though, because he feels that if the battle is prolonged he will lose the will to fight someone who is learning what kindness is.

First 10 chapters, that made up volume 24, started the same week as these 10 chapters. So it's certainly possible the next one will start at the same time as last year, which was April. But we'll see.
At this point, anything can happen. The last nearly 30 chapters were all about Yupi going bankrupt from Hakoware, which ended. There were other things happening obviously, but it was all built around the Yupi situation. So now that it's ended there's not "obligated event" to take place, so it's hard to judge. Especially now that Shoot and Morau are out.

And that Meleoron's skill isn't a secret anymore. Meleoron relied on nobody knowing what he could do to make it work, and so he cannot attack these enemies anymore.

Morau, Shoot, Meleoron and Novu are all useless now. All that's left is Knuckle, Gon, Killua and Netero. 4 against 4, all very much underpowered in comparison to their adversaries. Togashi was really sucessful in creating an impossible mission for the heroes, and he must have a thought solution to it, which we cannot imagine.

But I wonder if Komugi isn't really a very very very good hunter, hired to stay put until the very end and deal the final blow. Hercules died by the hands of his mistress (she unadvertedly gave him a cursed robe), Samson felt by the hands of his mistress, all the strong undefeatable characters met their defeat because of a woman in the end. I have a feeling it won't be different with Meruem.

@ Jack Van Burace. But the whole thing with Komugi is that she showed the king how to be merciful and loving to everyone. Shes the reason the king hasn't just rampaged and just killed everyone immediately. If it ends up shes a hunter and finishes off the king, I'd find that really sick and tragic. The whole building up of the "humanity" and "compassion" would have been false.

Well, the ants used Kaito and the other hunters in a very sick way too. And the same for the average humans that became part of the colony. I think it is justifyable that every possible method is used to eradicate these creatures that cannot be neither ants nor humans. Their existence will bring all beings to an end, including themselves. So, by eradicating them these hunters are only bringing them to their destiny, but without affecting other creatures in the process.

Once they eat all of mankind they'll be out of food, and just like every plague they won't stop until then.

Well yeah. In terms of morality and real life for-the-good-of-the-people of course. But in the manga happy shonen world, I find that unreasonable, you know?

Well you guys should know Togashi... If the character didn't appear in 4 consecutive chapters, haven't explained his/her purpose in life, made an enemy of the main cast (even if they made up) he/she's bound to die.

HXH is unusually dark for a shonen manga.

Togashi's manga tends to air on the side of Seinen. Yuu Yuu Hakusho was like that too. But part of them is all innocent, plus Shonen is the most popular genre.

I wouldn't say seinen, but togashi does love to give us a psychological struggle - which is uncommon for a shonen (to me at least).
