I did an English version of one of the preview colored chapters. I suppose it's fine if I post it here? I apologize for the sloppiness in some areas -- I'm not a Manga Editor.

This isn't the best example of all the color volumes have to offer, but it's what I did :S

I really wish Viz would publish these. I asked them on Twitter if they would be doing any, and they only said they would be doing a full-color chapter of One-Punch Man in the future :| They're already running the colored DBZ, so it might not be too long of a shot.

Uhh.. I bought it on Ebook for Japan. Do you know how to take it out of the Ebook and edit it? If you tell me how, I'm willing to translate some volumes.

I'd love to see english versions of those someday- in hard copy- then I'd definitely buy them. So far I have not yet made any purchases of HunterxHunter manga... maybe I'm waiting until it gets completed? but I've already made orders for OP, for some reason...

I introduced it to my boyfriend and he's loving the show so much, he watches the episode ahead of me. Sometimes when your converts gush at you about how awesome the show is you just well with pride or something, like gives you a fat heart

Now I'll admit I didn't spend hours looking, but I'm pretty sure they're not there. I suppose since Togashi's not doing anything anyway, he went back and colorized the digital editions? There are Gintama and One Piece color editions, as well as Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Death Note, Rurouni Kenshin, To-love Ru, Neuro, Reborn, and more. For some reason, they don't come up if you just search the title on Amazon.co.jp -- you have to search the Kindle Store. They also have an app where you can download them from too (the samples on the app are longer than the ones at other retailers too!).

People are up in arms over if the mangaka really did them, but it's officially published by Shueisha and there's no indication of anyone other than the mangaka doing them.

I'm not sure but I don't think the mangakas do all those colorings.
Most of them are too busy with their schedule; and in Togashi's case, he doesn't draw like that.
Just check the link above and compare the first color page (the one he actually made) and the rest, which are digitally colored.
He's not working in coloring anything, he's just hiatusing.

Even if they are not, you can tell that they spend a good amount of time to color it.

That's two volumes worth plus evergreen sales

If Togashi released enough content so tankobons were released regularly it would consistently be Top 5 every year. I guess this is the price for the great story that gets written : P

Other Notes-
- Surprised how much of a boost Magi got with the anime
- Titan will probably be competing for #2 with Kuroko no Basket since there's a second season for Fall. Might also compete with One Piece considering how much of a phenomenon the franchise is right now
- I'm predicting HxH will be 9 or 10 for the whole year
