Togashi is a procrastinator... Every time he said he will do his best to come earlier in the volumes he broke his promises. He is tired but I hope he doesn't feel like people are obliging him to draw his manga. I don't think the manga would be that great. Still, he better comes back soon because the anime is catching up to the manga ! He said he won't let the anime catch up but that guy is a procrastinator.

anime ends at the election unless togashi finishes the netero beyond saga. Still 1 year and a half for the anime to catch up

Hunterpedia has him at 14 currently. I thought he was almost 12 during the Hunter Exam arc, though. Maybe it's lost in translation? If he turned 12 the summer following Hunter Exam during Heaven's Arena, he'd have turned 13 before Election Arc in August.

They also mention he's 12 when he went on his date with Palm.

He was 12 in the hunter exam. The hunter exam is held once every year, and since Killua took another hunter exam in GI arc, a year has passed. Making Gon 13. I believe Ging mentioned another hunter exam in the Election arc, so he should be close to 14.

Yeah hes 13. He was 11 in the beginning. His bday is in May. The Hunter exam is every January. So around Heavens Arena arc he turned 12 because remember the Yorknew arc was around Sept. Then we had another exam in the GI arc so its already Jan of the next year. Then the Election arc is Aug-Sept. So Gon turned 13 during the Ant arc, about 3-4 months ago.

You think the manga will mention anything about the characters getting older? Most tend to gloss over that unless they have a timeskip, but here Hunter has a very defined timeline. Killua's age is pretty inconsistent compared to Gon's.

That is, if the manga ever continues... =( I'm hoping Togashi has written a bunch of chapters and that's why he's been very tired.

What do you mean inconsistent ? Hes the youngest one. His birthday is in like, July ? So yeah, hes also 13. JUST turned 13 a month ago ( hxh timeline obvs ) lol

He says he's the same as Gon (almost 12), but then in Heaven's Arena he mentions his father sent him there when he was 6 and it took him 2 years to reach floor 200. And then he mentioned that was 4 years ago. But looking back through the scans, it's so close to their birthdays that it could be interpreted that Killua is the youngest or he's older than Gon by about a year. But it makes more sense for him to be the youngest.


Those scans are so freaking cute. Seeing how the two grew up so differently and became bros. It makes me sad. ;_;

well that story would match.

if he went to heaven's arena at 6, and finished it in 2 years- so he's 8. And then it's four years ago so 8+4 = 12. He would be a bit younger than Gon if this were to add up.

That's a good point there. He did say approximately 4 years ago when he left Heaven's Arena the first time.
