Are we sure the quimera ant arc will be the final one for the anime? I doubt they would want to leave gon in his not so healthy state from the end of the arc. I can imagine a cliffhanger but not one where gon is left almost for dead when they have one that just looks freaking awesome.

The anime will end on chapter 339, it is a perfect ending. There is always the option to pick things back up down the road when Togashi does more material anyways.

No. A perfect ending will be the anime ending after the manga does.

Once again I find myself the only one stubbornly clinging to the hope that
Togashi will return from his break.

In any case we still got a long way to go and I trust Madhouse has the sense to not rush the Chimera Ant Arc
since after all we've wait what...ten years for it? If anything this arc is gonna drag out.

I remember when somebody said that he might be dead already and we just dont know...
I know its ridiculous, but at the time passes I keep thinking it might be possible T_T

I know right.. this was suppose to be a brief hiatus and its turning out to be one of the longest... And a new arc is starting, so why is he taking so long...

This hiatus has really gone on for so long...I hope that at least Togashi would finish the story properly, not necessarily as manga, maybe as a novel or better yet, give the script directly to madhouse to animate it ^^ , they are doing an excellent job and I don't want it to end T_T

Brief hiatus mostly because he said that he wanted to keep going with the manga instead of stopping as everyone said he'd do when Gon met his father.

Nah. He would've done that ages ago. He's been going on hiatus forever.

I think Togashi actually IS working on the chapters (in fact I think that's a big reason WHY the hiatuses take so long) but they will be released as usual: weekly.
I do believe that Togashi has the next chapters of HxH already written. How MUCH I have no clue but I think Togashi is the type who would rather spend a lot
of time making one superb chapter than rush many mediocre chapters. Perhaps I think too highly of Togashi but I think that's part of what makes HxH so good.

While I agree that Togashi would rather churn out great chapters (even if the art is lacking), I'm still not sure he's actually making chapters. I really hope he is, but I'm afraid I don't have the evidence to support that conclusion. It would be great if he came back in a few months and was able to finish out a whole arc again, but maybe I'm being too hopeful.
