The mentioned PS3 users have blueray and i am fairly sure that many japanese have blue ray players in their home.

After all, Blue ray aint new, anyone who buys a dvd player gets a blue ray player nowadays.

They probably thought along the lines: Well, we cannot demand a high price for downloading the episodes and the hardcore fans are going to get the blue ray anyway, so pretty it up with some artwork and sell it overprized, and here we go.
If they'd just made it downloadable for a cheaper prize, ir probably, after their estimate wouldn't have given em as much cash as this solution.

I hope it was something like that.. but the people in charge (I know them... at least a few of them...) are too old and don't know you can watch a video on an ipad...
if you tell them they look at you like are you an idot or something? itunes huh? maybe in the future... yes... in the future...
also we have to make dubs for that right? yeah it's for international people right? yeah sure without the serie dubbed we can not put it there right?

TBH, I don't know anyone with a Blu-ray player. I'm sure many Japanese have them...I've just never come across anyone with one.

Also, seems that the Japanese don't use PCs as much as we do, outside of gamers. From living here, that always surprised me.

people who care about owning media? maybe old people my friend...

I'm 21 and I still care a lot about owning physical media. It tends to offer, in my experience, superior visual and audio quality compared to digital media. Even Steve Jobs, whose Ipods and Ipads have driven digital consumption of music and movies, preferred listening to vinyl records at home because he thought they sounded better.

I also tend to prefer disc-based media because, as a collector, I get a lot of enjoyment from seeing my shelves lined with physical copies of my favorite movies and TV shows.

Digital wins in terms of convenience, true, but physical discs will always appeal to cinephiles like me.

Then again, blurays and dvds are ungodly expensive in Japan compared to their comparatively affordable price range in the United States, so I understand why you aren't very fond of them, Kenosecon.

It's from J-Stars Victory Vs. Here is a recent trailer. Tou can see more Gon pictures on the wiki.

Now that I think about it, Japaneses are voting for rivals, I guess it means we'll have at least one character from HXH. I was thinking about Killua but if Gon had a rival, I would say it's Hisoka.

There is an app to know your Nen type apparently . At first I thought the stats were showing the affinities according to the category but some stats don't make sense.

I do have some things planned for the upcoming months for the section, and I would like to reboot the Hunter Exam again but do it in a different style. I'm open to suggestions as well if any of you guys have any!

With the Community Awards going on at the moment, I'm waiting until those are over to run anything. But something exciting will be coming soon.
