Maybe a fresh start on a new story arc will keep him going for longer, compared to when he was struggling to wrap up the monster-sized Chimera Ant story-line.

I wonder if it isn't more the opposite, I don't know about you all but when I read Beyond's line:"The moment you stop taking on challenges is when your life is over", I get the vague impression that Togashi's a bit talking about himself, especially since he had a pretty good occasion to wrap up his story, plus a story about an entire outside world implies so many things to determine: rulers, laws, natural landscape, bestiary plus the the things pertaining to the main plot, characters and nen abilities...
Can't wait for December...

I believe this may just be the reason he keeps writing, as much as his hiatuses and habits piss me off from the standpoint of someone who wants to be a cartoonist. Allow me to rant for a bit: As much as I love HxH its extremely easy to get pissed off at him from a work ethic standpoint to a point where I simply have to wonder: why he doesn't just quit? Health issues or No(DQ) for whatever reason Togashi has decided to keep this manga going despite being unable to publish it in a consecutive manner without taking these multiple hiatus. So what could it be, is it that he really does care for his fa- HAHAHAHAHAHAHA HA HA HA! Ok but seriously, I think you may have hit the nail on the head there.

If it's gonna be 20~ chapters, i hope it brings Leorio and Kurapika in the picture again, we need to know how far they've gone in there lives during that period.

There are some who believe that it's a scan from other (maybe Shueisha) magazine. I don't know anymore. It seemed too well printed for being a fake. But we have to admit that it was too soon. We usually have to wait more than only a month when we hear that the series resume, so it was kinda fishy to begin with. Well, we'll know eventually if if was an utter fake or if there's an underlying truth in the previously posted scan.
