I disagree, I really want to know what exactly he's going to do now given that he's found Ging, a arc dedicated to just the phantom troupe (without Kurapika) really is the last thing I want to see right now.

To be honest, I'm way more interested in Kurapika's story that's been neglected for far too long, so seeing the Spiders would appeal to me way more than Gon and his father.

I suppose it's just me personally but even if Kurapika's situation withe the spiders is interesting, he isn't the main character, Gon is. I'm not saying I don't ever want to see that get settled, I do, but I think its more important to know where Gon is going to go from here since he IS the main character.

It may be important, but that still doesn't really change the fact that I find Kurapika and the Spiders more interesting in comparison to Gon. Also, I'm curious about Ging and his backstory and hope he randomly mentions something about Gon's mother, but it wouldn't bother me if we strayed away from Gon for a while.

This has always been a problem with me though. I always tend to grow more of an interest in the minor or side characters than the main characters. For example, the Harry Potter books. I was never interested in Harry. I liked Neville. It's like we see the main character so much I become slightly apathetic towards them after a while. After Greed Island's arc in the manga I started to grow this way towards Gon and Killua (to a small extent...I love his development though, especially during the Chimera Ant arc).

I want it resolved and I didn't see the movie. I'm more of a manga person, but I did see the other one in theaters opening day. It was ok.

If the movies are considered canon, I want to see it in the manga. I know there was a manga special for the movie about Kurapika's childhood and his friend and I read that. I want to know more about his rank now and if he's a literal part of the mafia and what happened to what's her name after losing her ability to write predictions.

Also don't bother with the movie, it adds nothing better that you could get out of that two chapter special.

Gon's side of story is important, Now he has achieved his goal (finding Gen), what's going to happen to him?

Also how he and Killua deal with their friendship after what happened.

I'd love Togashi to sort this things out right away.

Not necessarily. Chrollo's deeper character motivations are still largely a mystery. We don't even know if the Phantom Troupe had ulterior motives for attacking the Kurta Clan, besides making money off their eyes. We also don't know what extents Kurapika will take to get his revenge, or how he's going to leverage his position in the mafia to reach his goals. We've been waiting a long to time to see his war with the Troupe continued, and I think now is a great opportunity for it to be picked up again.

Based off the ending of the last arc, I expect we're going to get a break from Killua for a while. Gon will probably have a larger presence in the next arc because of this. Togashi wouldn't drop both him and Killua from the story at the same time. Besides, Gon was already out of commission for most of the Election Arc anyway, and was infrequently featured in the later part of the Chimera Ant arc as well. I think this is partly why some people have grown apathetic to him lately. They're more attached to the side characters, because the side characters are getting more screen time than the protagonist.

This in itself isn't a bad thing. Hunter x Hunter is ultimately more about Hunters overall than it is about Gon specifically. But I'd still like to see him featured more centrally in the upcoming Dark Continent arc. I'm looking forward to seeing him act independently without Killua by his side. As much as I enjoy their friendship, Killua has a tendency to steal the show from Gon whenever they're together. I always get more personally engrossed in Gon's character when he's interacting with other people, such as his time with Kurapika and Leorio before the Hunter Exam, his solo battle with Genthru and his first meeting with Meleoron.

Gon also needs a new goal at this point in the story, seeing as he's already accomplished his short-term quest to find his father. What does being a Hunter mean to him now? What does he have to hunt? These are questions Togashi must answer for the narrative weight of his story to continue.

Last time I checked Roses are NOT poisonous. So why do you think Togashi chose to make the bomb a rose? Was it to throw us off
so we wouldn't guess it was poisonous? Is there a poisonous rose species I don't know of? Did Togashi just think it sounded romantic
or something? I'm not criticizing if that's what it sounds like. It's more that Togashi usually seems to have good reasons for things
being the way they are. So it's hard to imagine something like the Poor Man's Rose being arbitrary.

Probably to throw us off. I mean it's not like there aren't plants which look a lot like roses but actually aren't, like the Hellebore ( they have some poisonous types and are often called "Christmas Rose"). The same obviously applies to bombs or whatever too, looks can deceive. I can very much imagine that in the Hunter x Hunter universe it's actually another trick to fool enemy countries, not like anyone would expect a poison from a bomb that looks like a rose. The means of psychology at work here, there's nothing better to prove the limitless potential for evolution and malice of humankind...
