A Nen fight isn’t all about kicks and punches, it’s way more complicated; that’s why the win doesn’t get guaranteed by the amount of aura. Thus, being the best at Nen does actually mean you’re the strongest. The fact that Ging created most of GI makes him much stronger than Netero. I’ve never said Ging is the strongest in the manga, I’m sure Don is far stronger, but it’s so frustrating that people tend to underestimate him nowadays; and what plotholes? It’s not like he’ll turn into a super-saiyan, being the strongest doesn’t mean he only uses brute force.

Plus, Killua did make Youpi helpless, but his hits weren’t effective on him; he just paralysed him. The same would’ve been true if Netero faced him; he would have just delayed the inevitable.
How so? Ging created something, netero could still curbstomp him in a battle.
Battles in HxH are not about the amount of aura, they are also not about whether you can create computer games with your aura, even if it is impressive. Netero's Hatsu is, for fighting purposes, the strongest thing we will probably see done by a human in HxH.
People are not udnerestimating ging, they are overestimating him by far.
there are people who think ging could beat meruem, which is, honestly, absurd.

Don Freecss and Beyond Netero probably have stronger attacks than Netero imo.

Based on what we have seen of Ging, Netero would destroy him but we are only scratching the surface of Ging's abilities.

While we don't know about Don, Beyond's chances of being stronger than Netero are very slim. And the possibility of him having stronger attacks is even less likely. Netero hinted at his son's ability in his message for the Zodiac, describing Beyond's ability as a more "Hunter" based compared to his(Netero's) "combat\brute force" based ability.

He didn't say this, he said Beyond behaved more like a Hunter than him with his love for adventure. All survivors of the DC are considered strong fighters and with him being guarded by the Defense team it would be odd if he was not strong.

I have the impression he is an Emitter based on chapter's 341 color page.

Sorry. Maybe I took it too far. But I still believe my threory is correct, at least to some extent. Being the best at nen is being the strongest. Till you face a monster that has an unbelievable aura.

Unfortunately, I can't find the Viz translation for chapter 341 anymore, but I'm pretty it was more or less what I said before. While talking about his strength and how it required an opponent(as in a pure combat ability), he stated that his son's strength was more suited for the DC and how his son is more Hunter-like than he is. Which I interpreted it to be a more Hunter-esque ability. Otherwise, it's even more odd for him to compare his tangible strength to his son's love for adventure. But again, this is purely based on what I remember of Viz's translation.

I'm definitely not saying he's weak. Far from it.

Might be true. I envisioned beyond as weaker than netero's prime, but stronger than old Netero, but it might be wrong for the reasons king of night pointed out.

Netero has a love for combat we have only seen in characters like hisoka, and even hisoka seemed to instincively know to back down from netero at the hunter exam.

Netero is also more honest about his fights, while hisoka seeks a thrill more than 'getting stronger'.

It is obvious that such a character would be better at fighting than hunters who specialise on ancient ruins or stuff like that.

I see ging like a character who does not strive to beat exciting persons in a fight but to make them his friends, like he did with razor.

That does by no means mean that he is weak, i think he can still beat or decently fight most of the characters which we have seen.

What makes ging dangerous is his incredible reasing of People combined with his versatile nen abilities (probably, we know that he dfinitely cannot ONLY do strighting hatus) and of course his vast knowledge.

That's mostly this but I interpreted strength as philosophy or way or life, not like an ability or indication of his power.

But even if you are not a combat lover it doesn't make you weaker than the ones you are, all depends on your ability, your talent and yo training. Bungee Gum and Deiceful Texture are deadly in combat but that's because of Hisoka's intellect, they can be used for mundane things, while Gon doe'snt like fighting as much as Hisoka(I think) but his ability is totally combat-oriented, Biscuit's ability is not for combat either and she is till a fearful fighter, many Nen users are like that. Your ability is not necesarily linked to your profession.

Ging might have versatile abilities but without enough training and aura powerful enough he won't last long against top tiers fighters. Not only his influence, feats as a Hunter and mastery of Nen as a Hunter have been commented, Razor said Gon is a monster, just like him, it means Ging is extremely powerful. How strong do you think a matured Gon would be? Netero is very strong but his goal in life, ability his training doesn't mean he has no match among humans.

Here is the viz translation if your still curious

Netero: "The strength my son desired was formidable and essential to exploring there. If anything he is more suited to being a hunter than I am."

No. Kurapika was 17 when the manga started. During the Greed Island arc one year has passed since there was another Hunter Exam. The Hunter Exam is said to take place in early January, and the current arc takes place in August, so roughly one and a half year has passed. Since Kurapika's birthday is April 4, he is now 19.

By the way, Gon was 11 years old when the manga started, and since his birthday is May 5 he is now 12.

I think he was 12, in the same scene in the anime he just said 12, maybe it is a mistranslation. Kurapika was 17 and he is born in April so he was 18 at the end of the exam.

One year passed when they were at GI, I don't know how much time they spent at NGL but both were at least 13, meaning Kurapika was 19. And they will be in August soon, he could possibly be 20. I don't know how much time they spent at NGL, same for the Election arc.

Well, don freecks is an entirely different thing. The guy if alive is hundreds of years old. In context what made netero so absurdly strong was his training. The fact that for 10 years he did absolutely nothing but train. It is a extreme scenario which yielded unreal results. Matching netero would require something like that however such a thing is not easy to replicate. Netero found something which resonated with him and threw himself to it with his heart and soul. His nen, with all its intricacies and perhaps due to them, likely reacted to that which resulted in the beyond human monster we saw. Beyond is likely to be one of the strongest nen users in the manga however he is not necessarily as strong. He would have had to find something as absurd.... I guess he could have been doing that while waiting for netero to die but I find it unlikely. Anyways, don is an entirely different thing. Living hundreds of years gives him more than enough time to overcome the training netero himself went through. He could even be stronger than the ants and it would make complete sense. He actually would have to be stronger than the ants if he actually survived the new world considering there likely are several things more dangerous than them. His power would be off the charts even by ant standards.

King of Knight: I think you may have misinterpreted what Netero meant. Netero was not referring to Beyond's ability, but his personality - his desire to explore the unknown, as what hunters should act like.

I don't doubt that Don is stronger, but remember what Netero also said about the DC, it's a fight against nature, not against opponents
Basically it's like the GW in Toriko and with the absurd weather and such, you adapt

I don't believe for example that creatures there are stronger than Meruem tbh but anyway, I personally believe Don is something else entirely

Re: Hunter x Hunter Chapter 349 Discussion/ 350 Predictions

I think I'll read the manga after the anime is done because now it just isn't possible to live without hxh.. do guys is the manga as enjoyable as the anime? I think it'll take a long time for another season or something so this is why too..

So 5 weeks to go! Really hoping togashi is serious about hxh now and will stay making chapters :(

Personally I find the anime better than the manga at times.
