Supposedly the Voyage Arc end in next 5 volumes (v42) do you guys think it's possible to get anime adaptaton before we enter DC?. Sure it's a cliffhanger, but HxH is so popular and changes in anime studios aren't rare these days (I mean we know what happened to OPM). Though, I still prefer madhouse to take charge again and have same creative staff involved, like Takahiko Abiru, Sawada, etc. Kojina is incredible director, but I'd loved if Abiru take the helm. He seems genuinely in love with his works.

On the one hand: The Voyage arc could be releases as ova. You have a logical endpoint (them reaching the DC), you have a lot of selfsufficient content (chrollo fight, kakin war), it would work.

However, it is questionable how much money you can make with that in the current environment. You could show the HxH anime on TV and that had its own value when it comes to advertizement money.
An OVA does not run that long and is usually released straight to DVD. You would usually do the effort for an OVA when it is part of some franchise that you want to keep warm so more people buy merchandizing, it stays in the collective mind of people and so on.
With HxH, it seems questionable whether an Ova helps. It will make anime fans happy, but i dont think it will translate to manga sales and not a lot of people actually buy these things, so it might be too expensive to make in the quality that we, by now, expect from madhouse.

I think it would be wise to, at some point, either redo the whole series again when we have a good idea about when it will wrap up (by 2030 for example) or do the remaining episodes by madhouse if they are up for it, similarly when a lot of new content is out.

They were there from the start. Rather than improving them they were kinda forgotten. Like Kurapika’s stick thingys.

That's fair, actually. But to me, that's the actual beauty of it; to adapt and improve your methods. It'd make less sense to me if they picked their poison from the start and stubbornly stuck to it as if that tool was part of their identity (rather than using whatever is convenient).

Losing their respective toys was a blessing. If it were most other writers the pole and skateboard would have become unfortunately important, and Kurapika would be a generic swordsman and not the one and only chain user.

April approaches. I have this sinking feeling togashi is not returning for a long time. I can't imagine why, but the sense is there. So far I've been more or less on target with his reappearances, barring the first one back in 16 that caught me off guard.

The yo-yo isn't gimmicky and it's still here. Killua thought about it before ordering it to Milluki. The alloy and weight help and he can use his electricity through it to use ranged attacks.

We know what happened to the skateboard but it was never useful in combat. I don't care much about Gon's rod now but that was an iconic item. We don't even know what happened to it.

only thing that was still used it was the yo-yo of Killua... who, if I remember correctly, weighed about 50 kilos and never ripped his pants.
