I'm in love with the idea Silent Majority is Pariston's ability, or one of them under his sway. It makes too much sense and is too perfect an idea. Whatever else Togashi comes up with will probably just not satisfy my as much at this point.

I loved Morena's power and card game, but we are at the point where something has to give or the arc will never finish before his death... I reassert that the Black Whale will go missing, and show up derelict at Whale Tale island, or Gon will depart from there to find it, years into the future, and we get a kind of abandoned Black Whale 01 arc to determine what happened, mystery sleuth style! Up the tension. Leave us suspecting whether that baby corpse in the cradle is Woble... or some other random child. Let us ask whether those two corpses grappling each other are Hisoka/Chrollo or maybe Kurapika/Chrollo, or somesuch.

It would be cool as hell for me. I like those kinds of thriller exploration scenarios, where the real horror story already happened, the true threat is gone, but you want to know how it went down in the end, and whether the heroes made it out or are elsewhere...

Speaking of SM, this guy recently did a video on it. I've thought about the possibility of Shimano for a while now. And I never realized that Kurapika "ruling her out" with the Dowsing Chain isn't really an issue because he didn't make sure to get definitive answers to his questions. I like the maid idea as well, but that has a few issues with it.

And I never realized that Kurapika "ruling her out" with the Dowsing Chain isn't really an issue because he didn't make sure to get definitive answers to his questions. I like the maid idea as well, but that has a few issues with it.

You do not want it to be Shimano! Or we will have to go to Heaven's Arena and battle it out like Chrollo and Hisoka!! Why?

BECAUSE SHE WAS MY FIRST GUESS!! AND I WAS SCOURGED! CASTIGATED! AND FLAYED WITH IRREFUTABLE LOGIC! I even mentioned how she even LOOKS suspicious!! I switched to Pariston for plot relevance but no reason she can't work for him ultimately...

Gonna go watch this guy's theory video. Probably the first time ever doing so for a manga, believe it or not.

Tbh there's no information pointing towards this. Also, I think the ability is far too weak to belong to Parisston. It's probably some kind of coop ability belonging to the maids or sth, "silent majority" must imply a group of sorts

It's more interest and curiosity than "hype". It was one of the first mysteries introduced in the arc, so it's only understandable that some would be curious to get an "answer". Obviously it doesn't compare to something like the Beyond/Longhi reveal, especially when we haven't seen the doll since 370 and the user hasn't struck since 376.
