Discussion Identical/similar characters...

There are plenty of characters (be it in an anime or manga) that may resemble another character from a totally different series...or they may even look completely identical!? It's possible...

Character appearances, traits and behaviour are the main factors which can lead to one making a comparison to another character from a completely different anime/manga series. This thread is to discuss, compare and share your finds!

Note: Many of you by now already know about the Incarnate x Bleach rip off similarities...so please avoid posting comparisons between those two mangas in here...just for the safe side. Thanks.

Personality-wise the following guys are very different, but appearance-wise they may very well be lost Twin Brothers :

Renji Abarai from Bleach

And Ritsu Kasanoda from Ouran High School Host Club.

Allen Walker from D.Gray-man and Sasha from Seikon no Qwaser are practically clones of each other.

Not sure if it count, but I think Yuri from Angel Beats and Haruhi from Suzumiya Haruhi is pretty similar to each other (in appearance at the very least). In fact, when Angel Beats get annouce, people even joke about it.

An obvious Doppelganger. Let's see a left eye or two. Maybe lose the cig once in a while. xD

And How's a Little Honey from a certain High school host club, along with a small Momiji from Fruits Basket.

They didn't even try to make this one sneaky. Same voice actor, and also Honey carries around a bunny everywhere... guess which chinese zodiac member Momiji is? Coincedence? I think not!

Nice find Shin! Bald Zoro does look a lot like Ikkaku! hahaha Freiza & Mewtwo was a cool comparison, Orgz! I wonder if the original designer for Mewtwo used Freiza as a reference point or source of influence when creating him in the first place. :P

Very, very interesting comparisons atm. I like them.

Yeah I removed his hair ... was just a guess but they REALLY look the same haha and the attitude + swordsmanship and guts makes them very similar.
I will try and find another example. I like this thread.

Okay, I've got some.

Tyki Mikk from D. Gray Man
Gilbert Nightray from Pandora Hearts

Similar black, kinda long, wavy hair in their face, both have yellow eyes, both meant to look intimidating, etc. etc.

Yoko Kurama (demon form) from Yu Yu Hakusho
InuYasha from InuYasha

Though Kurama was animated fancier than InuYasha, these two share a similar hairstyle, and on top of it they're both half demons and therefore have fox-like ears. Kurama is really like an upgraded InuYasha.

Crono from Chrono Trigger
Gogeta from Dragonball Z

I know Chrono Trigger is originally a video game, but I posted the anime-version of Mewtwo already, so I might as well post the anime-version of Crono. These two are just.. well, I don't need to explain why they look alike. It's obvious...

Another one just came to me. These aren't identical in any way, but was watching a scene from Durarara!! and Yumasaki strongly reminded me of Ichimaru Gin from Bleach. Like I said, not at all the most similar, they do have their similarities.

That Crono design is a complete rip off of Gogeta. They look so alike. lol Very interesting "discoveries" Orgz! Thanks for sharing! haha that Gin one is hilarious! For some reasion, the shape of Yumasaki's head reminds me of Spock from Star Trek.

They are not that identical but they remind me of each other.

Happosai from Ranma ½ and Myoga from Inuyasha. Their personalities are different, but their looks are almost the same.

I just remember, like Clamp's mangas, there is a tendency that characters have similarities from previous manga especially on the physical features.
