Character Importance Tier List

So... here's the deal. Long time lurker annoyed the hell out of dumb people trying to defend dumb ideas like Todoroki being and equal in importance to the story to Deku, and then feeling cheated by Horikoshi for "not delivering" on the promise. You all playing yourselves.

Well... I know this thread will NOT solve the problem, but AT LEAST it should give it a proper forum for discussion, most likely cleaning up the discussion topics and making my life as a lurker a LITTLE more bearable.


First tier: Reserved for the one, AND ONLY, main character.
Deku.
Second Tier: Other characters of major importance to the overall plot, related directly to Deku's storyline, so...
All Might, Bakugo, Shigaraki and AFO.
Third Tier: Other major characters. These are not irrelevant side-characters. They have their own Storylines. They are major. We care and can invest on their Arc, but they are not the main focus of the story.
Shoto, Ochako, Aizawa, arguably Endeavor, Kirishima, potentially Eri and maybe, streching it, Iida. Maybe actually not... I dunno.
Forth tier: Important side-characters, with important connections to the plot, but overall of not anywhere of a focus for expectations of major arc.
Mirio, Nighteye (RIP), Gran Torino, Almost all major villans, almost all of 1-A
Fifth tier: Everyone else
Mineta tier: Mineta because WTF.

There. Now say your bullshit here. Agree, disagree, I dunno... just stop poluting the discussion thread with "Horikoshi is a bad writer because he made Shoto useless!"

Deku is obviously the protagonist, so he is the most important character in the story but Bakugo and Shoto are pretty important too. Bakugo a bit more because he’s more connected in Deku’s history, but Shoto is in the main cast for sure.

Been lurking around this forum for years, I remember the days of Naruto. People on this forum would compare characters to Naruto then complain about how such and such character should be the main character or that the character Naruto was trash and such and such is stronger so they should get more screen time.

Seen this shit too for a few manga on the forum, it just how fandoms are in general.
