We ended off with Kenji showing Iketani, Yuichi, and Itsuki a golf magazine that showed the an article about the 17 year old golf phenom Mika Uehara, the girl that slapped Takumi on that one day. Itsuki then gets a call from Takumi, and all Itsuki said was "I'll go!" over and over.
The scene changes to a location somewhere in Saitama, prolly past 9:00PMish, where a hachi and an FD pulls up in some parking lot where there are young peepz just hangin' out, and the Project D wannabes with their ghetto Project D T-shirts pops out. *The imposter Takumi's hachi doesn't have the classic Watanabes.* Two young guys are mumblin' to each other, "Oh man! They're Project D!" and "Wow, this is the first time I've seen them face to face." Then the Takumi wannabe jumps in and says, "Just to clear things up, we're not here for an expedition. Today, we don't have any intention to race against teams of our skills. We came here as a relaxation from our heavy schedule." And everyone's like wow, they're very modest. And the Takumi guy is like "yup, I'm the ish..." A guy walks up to the hachi that has "won many consecutive battles" <~~~~(puh-lease) and asks if he can have a looksee. Then "Takumi" says that he can look at it, but the 86 and the FD are just like any other ordinary models. The guy then asks him that although the exterior looks ordinary, what kind of heavy tuning he's done inside the car. The wannabe explains that there is "some" tuning involved, but tells the guy that it's not all about power. Fake Keisuke then says that it's all about technique....Technique. Everyone is in awe of the outspoken and famous Project D's "Double Ace". But in the background of all the action, in the shadow of one parking spot, you see Wataru's 86 Levin just chillin'. Wataru calls someone and tells him that he has found the target.
This is where Project D puts the sh!t on the plate....
The Project D imposters sees two cute chix and attempts to play their A game, and asks for their phone number. Wataru comes out of his car and asks which one was Takumi of Project D. The wannabe was like who the hell are you, and Wataru introduces himself and tells him that he's come as a friend and an admirer, because he sees that "Takumi" also drives an 86. Wataru asks "Takumi" if he can see his driving skills. "Takumi" gets all nervous and tells him that he can't do that right now, but it was too late. The gallery gets involved, and they also wanted to see "Takumi's" driving technique. "Takumi" is now getting hella nervous with sweat comin' down his face, and tells Wataru that he has no de-de-desire right now, and that their team leader Ryousuke tells them not to run. But then Wataru says, "Well, then there is no way that we'll know you guys are the real Project D." Wataru then tells "Takumi" that the gallery will swear in secrecy that they won't tell anyone that they saw the oh-so-godlike Project D show off. The gallery's like "yea! we won't tell!! Please show us your skills!" the imposters look at each other, and were in a state of "WTF do we do?!?!?" Wataru request "Takumi" to start from the bridge (dunno exactly how far) and come flying down sideways, and to use the accelerator only to accelerate at the exit of the corner; all this on the perfect line. *A little bubble notes that the imposter has NEVER drifted before.* The imposter get's pissed off and yells at Wataru to stop foolin' around and making it sound so simple. He then says that it's impossible to do, and that there is no one who can pull off such god-like skills. Wataru then says, "That's right. It is rarely done." Wataru then hears engines coming along the mountains of Saitama and says to himself, "They're finally here."
Wataru mumbles to himself that he can't believe that there are people out there who do stupid things like being imposters. He then gets the attention of the gallery, snaps his fingers and tells them they are going to get a rare, first hand, upclose look of "Authentic and Real Drifting." Then from the apex of a corner, you see the REAL AE86 Trueno with its carbon-fiber hood come drifting at full throttle. The scene changes to the interior of the Trueno, and there's Takumi driving very calmly, and Itsuki who's eyes are about to pop out in disbelief. The imposters gasp and screams in disbelief, as the gallery curiously watches the Trueno's artistic drifting. Wataru concentrates at the Trueno's drift action and notices how fast it's goin' and can't believe how it turns at such high speed. The Trueno drifts and drifts and at the apex of the corner, touches the guard rail with the front bumper and dashes off in the distance. Wataru becomes a little jealous. Prolly pissin' his pants, "Takumi" asks "Keisuke", "What the hell was that? Could it be the real....Project....D???" "Keisuke" says that it gotz to be them, and that it would be best if they were to leave the place. "Takumi" then says, "Uhhhh.... Something came up just now and we gotta go... Let's go Keisuke." "Keisuke" agreed and follows "Takumi". Then a voice came from the background. "Your name is KEISUKE too? What a coincidence." Scene changes to the REAL Keisuke standing in front of the REAL RX-7FD where he says, "That's my name too." The imposters jumps up in a scare, and Wataru walks up to Keisuke with a smile and gives him a high-five (Wataru's hand was open, but Keisuke gave the high-five with a clinched fist...That's soooo Keisuke). Wataru and Keisuke starts talking like old buddies and Wataru tells Keisuke that he saw him race in Ibaraki against Purple Shadow. The imposters try to tip-toe their way out of their site by going the opposite way, but were stopped when Takumi's Trueno cuts off their escape. Takumi and Itsuki gets out of the Trueno, and the imposters can't believe that the guy from Gunma was the REAL Takumi. Everyone else from Project D comes out such as Kenta and Project D manager Fumihiro (no Ryousuke).
"Well then," says Wataru to Keisuke. "What do we do with these guys?" And Keisuke says,
"The first thing I won't forgive is that they went around as Project D, and swindled and deceived our name. Everyone in Project D lays their life down so that we can have our continuing winning record. Our reputation is like an award that we have built from nothing. That is the reputation of everyone in Project D. And you guys are goin' around and showin off yourself as someone you don't even know. Pathetic. The second thing I won't forgive is how my imposter is fugly. I will never forgive that. Only this face will be recognized as Keisuke Takahashi within this world."
The imposters gets down on their knees and starts to apologize to Keisuke and asks for their forgiveness. The Keisuke imposter even apologizes for making Keisuke look ugly. Keisuke says, "NO!! I won't forgive you guys!" and starts to crack his knuckles. "Although you're the lowest, you better be prepared for two or three broken bones." The imposters starts to cry and squeal as their heads are bowed to the ground. But then Fumihiro makes an obvious cough at Keisuke. Keisuke can't believe Fumihiro and tells him that they are all his. Fumihiro lectures the two guys about what they had done, and the imposters bowed once again and apologizes to Project D and tells them that they will never do it again. Keisuke then gave Takumi a chance to say his piece. Takumi gets the Takumi imposter's attention and explains how he got blamed for the imposter's action on a girl named Tomoko. Takumi asked if the imposter can give Tomoko a call and apologize to her for the inconvenience because it has caused a lot of trouble. The imposter constantly tells Takumi that he will do it and apologizes to him for all the trouble he has caused. Itsuki, trying to show off as if he's part of Project D tells the imposter that if he doesn't apologize, then Project D is gonna get mad. Keisuke then tells the Project D crew that they're goin' to get some food, and tells Wataru to follow them. So, the FD, Levin, Trueno, and S14 roars their engine one last time for everyone goes off in the distance. The gallery is in disbelief!! They saw the REAL crew of Project D come out and drift, and showed the true colors of what Project D was all about. They then mumble within each other about how the imposters and how they are the total opposites of the REAL Project D, and how their lame-asses should hurry up and leave. The imposters feel really dumb as they made a fool of themselves in front of everyone, and that they wished they were dead.
The next day rolls around and we're back at the Esso gas station on a sunny day where Itsuki tells Iketani and Yuichi about what happened last night and how he felt good watching the imposters beg for mercy, and how he watched Takumi drive the new hachi. Itsuki talks about the detail of Takumi's run and how his driving style was different due to the new specs. Itsuki explained how Takumi's runs in the past only felt like 50% compared to what happened that night, and with so much power and speed, his margin of error is now even narrower. Not just his skills, but his precise judgement is what makes Takumi such a great driver. Yuichi states that such precision is used especially in Rallying, and wonders if that's the field that Takumi might get involved with. Then Iketani says that tarmac has its own limitations and restrictions though.(Rallying?????)
The scene changes to a double-decker golf range where we see Mika hitting a couple of balls while her dad and another golfer watches. During Mika's practice, her cell starts to ring, and her dad reminded her that she shouldn't answer it cuz she's practicing. Mika tells her dad that it's just a text message and that it won't be too long. The message was from Tomoko.
The scene changes again, and it's 8:30PM in Saitama, and we see Mika sitting all by herself in front of a family restaurant. She sees Takumi getting out of his hachi and she happily waves him down. Once in the restaurant, Mika told Takumi that she got a message from Tomoko earlier in the day, and told him that Tomoko got a call from the imposter and that he apologized to her, but then the imposter asked her if she wanted to go out sometimes. Takumi couldn't believe what he was hearing, and asked what happened next. Mika then said that Tomoko refused the offer. But then Tomoko asked Mika if she can see the REAL Takumi, and Mika said that she won't let her see him. Takumi's like "Eh??" And Mika says that she doesn't want Tomoko to see Takumi right now, because he's so cool and awesome. Takumi is nervous as a chicken and sips his tea or juice or whatever he's drinking and bashfully tells her that he's not THAT cool, and that he's heard peepz say it, but doesn't believe it. Then Mika says, "Yea, but that's not it. I also think you're really cute." (???????!?!?!?!?!!!!!!?!?!?!?!????!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??????!!!!)
Shigeno ends with this....
"Somehow the next mood looks pretty good. And thus the night of Saitama drifts on..."

whew...... the translations of vol. 32 may not be a 100% accurate, but it's pretty close. Thanks to bROCKoLEE(?) for the correction of Project D's manager. I think his full name is Fumihiro Matsumoto, and Takumi's mechanic's name is Shouichi Matsumoto. Correct me if ima wrong. But anyways there you go. That's vol. 32 for ya!
