This is no big thing, but the FAQ needs to be updated.

On the bit of the FAQ "Who are these notable people with different colored names?" the Manga Editors colour is still the very light brown while just recently it was updated to a orange colour. Shouldn't it get changed JUST in case people get mislead.

edit: infact there is a lot of stuff you need to edit, in the FAQ

with all this stuff being updated it will be less misleading to new members

Dont know if it was mentioned before but is it possible when more than one release comes out for a series, like from another group, to move to the front of the list in shoutbox? This a problem since I sometimes miss the later HQ releases and will not even notice when there's a new release because all that changes is the number of releases next to the series and stays in the same place when a new release comes out, compared to actually going to the front of the list and showing that there's a new release. Other then that I love the new site! Thanks for the hard work

Nope, we decided against such feature because we don't seem them fit the nature of MH. Contributors have their personal discussion threads (gallery thread, askme threads) which are used for socialization and private comments as well.

Aside from that, we don't have the staff to monitor talks outside of the forums as well. We can't even keep up with all the comments on the front page and have to rely on reports for them.

We don't see why a forums community needs private chat corners. If you want to talk in private: use PM or share email/msn.

I though that was only for staff. And galleries cannot be for that type of discussion, can they? If I use my gallery for that and art, is it ok?

No one can stop you from creating your own askme thread in the fun forum.

Also this isn't NF, but still I don't think the staff there mod the profile pages, and I don't think you really need to, since people just go there to have a friendly non serious chat, and if there were some flaming, it could be reported no?

Yes, translator and Manga Editors also can have ask-me threads as well (view here).

The art galleries are not intended to be ask-me threads. They are intended to be places for artists to showcase their art and have discourse with others about their art. We would prefer that you do not pervert the gallery threads into something that they are not.

Like eni already stated, MangaHelpers is not meant to be a place for personal chit-chat. Its purpose is to facilate individuals in the acquisition of manga and manga-related things and to allow individuals a place to discuss and show their appreciation of manga [and manga-related things].

If you would like to just chat with your fellow user privately, you can exchange contact information to do so or use the private message system if you wish. These things are deemed as sufficient.

The Fun Forum isn't for personal threads, period. That isn't the nature or intent of that section, and so you don't need to "assume" anything.

The profile allows user to post contact information that other users can use to contact them outside of MH if necessary. Thank you, however, for your suggestions. They are noted and will be remembered should the design and function of the site ever decide to be altered.

Hi, I'm a newbie here. Could anyone tell me how to upload the Edited Mangas?

I've just created my group but it seems I can only upload one jpeg at a time...

Whenever I click the Browse button and try to upload the whole folder,

(eg. folder containing 26 images) I cannot upload it and enters that folder instead.

I can upload everything inside the folder... but only one of them!!

Can somebody please help me out here and tell me where I went wrong?

A wild guess, but did you zipped your folder, in .zip, or .rar format? The 'browse' button is working fine. If your group has been approved, check this Manga Editor's FAQ for more info.

I have been searching the web but since I didn't know what it was called i have failed so I decided to ask a site that already has one. o here's my question... due to something bugging me forever in a certain manga, and a fanbase wanting to get the correct version, where should I ask on the board for someone to do a small translation? The area where I want to post it seems more like a place to get help with translations you've already started and just want edited, but I want someone with a much higher level understanding of Japanese than myself to do a full translation of a couple of panels on a page which I can pick words out from but am not good enough to try to really translate it. So, should I still take it to the Translations board in the Academy forum, or is there a more appropriate place for what I want?

The Manga Editor and translator boards are all a little messy at the moment. We're about to sort them through and make them more organized.
