Here goes: Sometimes, but not all the time, when I come to this site's (manga helpers) main page I get an advertisement popup.. I have popup blocker software which is the weirdest thing about it. I never get popups at any other site.. so I was wondering if it is intentional.. or?

Hello barnmaid Don't feel discouraged about replying in older threads; make your posts on topic and I bet nobody would mind.

I definitely agree with Ayah, barnmaid. Also when you reply on a thread, it will get pushed up to the front page where all the latest replies are, so people will see that you've made a comment there. But if you are behind in the series and don't want to get spoiled, please make sure to note that in your post so that people can put spoiler tags past the section that you've read. And if you don't see the topic you want to discuss, then feel free to start a new thread. And most of all enjoy.

I reply to old threads all the time ^^ It feels great to revive a thread and then have people start making it lively again! Alot of people don't see some of the old threads, and by posting in them, you kind of re-activate them, and people see them again! So feel free to post in and old thread ^^ You never know what kind of conversation you'll spark up

I tried to put a spoiler tag in my signature, and it said "Error - You don't have the proper permissions to put a spoiler" or something like that. Did I do something wrong, or is there some sort of moratorium on spoiler tags in signatures I don't know about?

I get the same thing. I forgot to bring it up to the others. >.> But how I got around that was to put some text into the spoiler...

like that, and then it worked for me, so you might want to try that.

EDIT: Just talked to Fuzzy and he says that putting a title is the only way to put a spoiler in your sig.

EDIT2: If you want a personal text (Custom Title) under you name you can post your request here and one of the globals/admins will do it for you as soon as they can.

It seems like [/] ending tag, can end two starting tags if placed in the wrong place, let me explain it in a way everyone can understand:

I want to say a bold and italic "Hello". So I type:

[b][i]Hello[/i][/b]

That is the correct way, however if I put the [/b] before the [/i] tag like this:

[b][i]Hello[/b][/i]

This is what I get: Hello <- see the last [/i]? It seems like the italic was ended by the [/b] as well. So all I actually have to type is:

[b][i]hello[/b]

Also if I want to type a "code" tag, all what I have to do is having any other ending tag for instance [/b] after the "code" starting tag.

Also because of this, you can't put lots of spoilers into one big spoiler because:

Yes, you only get an extra [/spoiler] instead of one big spoiler containing all of these spoiler.

I don't know if this was brought up by anyone already, so here goes anyway.

On the main page there is the Random Art window with some fanart in it.
If you click the reviewed picture though you get a different one than the one you had thumbnailed before.
It's kind of annoying especially if the main reason you clicked there was to see that particular image in big.

So could you link the picture you see on the main page to the actual one in better quality?

Unfortunately right now there is not much we can do to fix that, and I agree that is annoying. It's a weird feature of SMF that we can't do anything about right now. We're still looking for a good mod (modification) to fix that.
