Discussion Intensive training in HXH

[Demonspeed]

There are spoilers so don't read it if you are not a manga reader.

I read some CA chapters and watched GI episodes lately. It's true that your Nen will be stronger with basic skills. But the physical training is important too. What really intrigues me is the form gain had when he fought Pitou. It reminded Killua of Biscuit and Pitou said Gon gained with form by throwing away his great potential. At first I thought Gon was an alien and Biscuit too but Binolt said Biscuit's physical condition is perfect. It means Biscuit's normal body became like that because of her training. Biscuit wants to hide it but I don't see why people like Netero would do it.
Netero trained like crazy for years and he is not as ripped as Biscuit. Killua also said Gon should normally attain this form after a decade of years of training. Does it mean this form is exclusive to certain persons? Or will we have more details about it later?
I think there are several levels and that Biscuit completely mastered it. Morau too shown that he was more muscular than we thought when he tested Gon.

I think you are mixing a bunch of unrelated stuff into a single thing here. For one thing, biskuit's and gon's transformations. They are distinctly different things which have no relation whatsoever on any level. Gon was a kid who gave up his future to become an adult and gain a huge amount of nen. Bisk is an adult who merely changes to appear a kid. Her nen remains constant and the transformation limits her physical strength.

Now, as far as being ripped I would think we have to take everything as the manga gives it without questioning it. Killua or gon are not really ripped and yet the amount of pure physical strength they show is completely disproportional. We have seen people with more muscle mass than a lot of characters and yet their strength appears at large average or at least unremarkable. Basically how ripped a character is does not define their physical strength at large. Perhaps the case can be made that more ripped characters can potentially achieve greater feats of strength however not all characters will necessarily achieve the maximum potential of their given muscle mass.

What further should make a difference here is the fact that nen quantity and quality can make up for a difference in physical strength. So potentially killua could be physically stronger than someone but still at a disadvantage due to nen. Of course if nen is equal between two people then physical strength will be the defining factor. I think killua said the bomber he fought at greed island was physically weaker than him but had better nen mastery.

I know it's different but still. Biscuit said she changed her appearance because she doesn't like her normal body. And according to Killua the form Gon had would be accessible for him after a decade of years of training. His aura was overflowing but it's only because of his conditions. I don't think his aura would overflow if he had trained to attain this level naturally. Biscuit reached that level by training and Gon by conditions. We know Biscuit learned Nen at 17, Netero is her master so she most likely trained at his dojo. She was not ripped as she is now. She most likely became like that after her training, and used Cookie later to hide that. So, everybody should be able to have that form.
I personally think physical strength is related to your Nen category. Enhancers are generally physically stronger and then we have transmuters and emitters and so forth. It's normal for enhancers to have the biggest power and I think it becomes more and it should be more evident when the training methods are more difficult(for example the 1st level of enhancement is rock breaking while you have to make numbers when you are a transmuter and to throw a Nen sphere when you are an emitter. ) Physical strength is more important in the first one.
I noticed the majority of manipulators and conjurers we saw are not very muscular or are thin even the strongest ones. It's natural because they don't focus on physical strength. And when you see the PT's arm wrestling ranking you notice that the strongest are the ones who are nearer of Enhancements ( Nobunaga is the only exception).

1-Uvo(Enhancer).
2-Phinks(Enhancer).
3-Hisoka(Transmuter).
4-Franklin(Emitter).
5-Feitan(Transmuter).
6-Machi(Transmuter).
7-Chrollo(Specialist).
8-Bono(Conjurer).
9-Nobunaga(Enhancer).
10-Shalnark(Manipulator).
11-Pakunoda(Specialist).
12-Shizuku(Conjurer).
13-Kortopi(Conjurer).

But what exactly do you mean by that form? If you mean a muscular body then yes, anyone should be able to have a muscular body, it should be a matter of training. Its not like her physical appearance is an state or transformation though.

As for gon getting to adulthood and have the same power and strength as in his transformation... I don't think it is possible. The form should be possible due to the extremity of the conditions for it. Gon presumably gave up his future and potential to presumably get now his full potential. Now, what does it take to achieve your full potential? Basically training. How much training? Well, assuming the form we saw is gon's maximum potential then it would stand to reason that the only way to acquire it would be that gon spent as much time as possible training. IMO for gon to reach his maximum potential he would have to actually sink into a similar sort of insanity as netero did at least. So basically decades of nothing but intensive and grueling training until he reaches his absolute limit. Now, the issue would be that gon won't necessarily train that hard to begin with. He could train hard but he won't necessarily spend all the time training. So its unlikely he will ever reach that level on his own. Just my humble opinion.

Unlike most fighting oriented manga, the characters of HXH, even the protagonists, have better things to do with their life than spending all of it training. Sure like most manga there's the typical last minute crash course training that somehow makes up 5 years of training in 5 days, but the point is to reach Gon's maximum potential he'd have to be in the 'crash course' level of training for basically all of his productive prime. The only person who was devoted enough to put all their time in such training was Netero. Even Meryem said he can't really imagine how anyone could train this hard, and he certaily can't imagine himself doing the same thing because he has better things to do with his life too (like ruling/conquering the world).

Gon, Killua, Kurapicka and Leorio are capable of lfiting mutiple tons, you can note this to the Zoldyck's mountain entrance door....Physical apperances aren't everything, Uvo was physically the strongest in the Spiders while, Sphinx, Then the Frankstein guy, who you would think would be 2nd....

As for Gon the level he transformed is only achieveable by secluding yourself like Netero did and do nothing but practice....Gon is a crazy kid so I can see him doing that.
But umm Gon threw away all the potential he could have ever obtained, his life, body, ability to use nen that plus the emotional Guilt and anger is what gave birth to that form of Gon.
