Thank you, yeah i really like bakemonogatari, even look for a thread but couldn't find one about it. Will check the manga award, thou there is no bakemonogatari manga There is a prequel novel but i haven't been able to find it in english or spanih (Kizumonogatari and Nisemonogatari) if you heard where to find it please let me know

Nice taste! Bakemonogatari is an awesome series! One of my absolute favorites, actually. You can find the thread for it here in the Theater Archive section of Otaku Cafe (where threads for completed series are located).

HI2UALL! I'm CircularLogic! I actually joined... awhile ago, forgot when, then I lurked around everything except the forums. I joined MH intending to put up translations, but I didn't actually do that until just recently, and realized that actually joining the conversation in the forums is probably a good idea.

I... well, I read and watch just about everything. The only thing I'm concerned about is whether it has an interesting story, which is the whole reason I like manga in the first place, as it tends to be a bit more imaginative. If I had to choose some favorite manga, they'd probably be Spice and Wolf, Jormungand, Umi no Misaki and Yozakura Quartet. Over the past few seasons, my anime shows of choice were Asobi ni Ikuyo, Fortune Arterial, Otome Youkai Zakuro, Ika Musume, Strike Witches, Durarara!, Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou, Omamori Himari, Koihime Musou and Ore no Imouto.

My spare time is spent playing RPGs, reading manga, watching any good anime, blogging, being entrepreneurial with some buddies and figuring out how to retire before I'm 35. I'm looking to make translating a bigger piece of that pie, since I want to put my years of college Japanese to use and actually make it worth something.

I used to live in Germany, but I'm now in the US. English is my first, German second, and Japanese third. I used to be way better at German, but now I'm probably better at Japanese. I used to practice my German by buying German-translated manga. Go figure.

The first translation project I'm getting into is Maomarimo, since only one person seems to have expressed interest in translating it, and I just got done posting my second translation of it (though they're still marked pending), and Tonnura-san is also interesting to me, so I'll probably do that one too. If I see anything else that catches my interest, I'll probably try my hand at that too.

Hello, I am new to this group. It' nice to meet everyone. I have been a fan of anime and then manga for many years. I like many different genres, shonen, shojo, yaoi, josei, seinin, fantasy, sci-fi, historical, comedy, drama, etc. I adore cute things, so I like cute manga too.
It's hard to choose a favorite manga, but here are a few of them; Naruto, Bleach, Usagi Drop, Fruits Basket, Full Metal Panic, and Azumanga Daioh.
I am currently working towards a BFA with an eye towards becoming an art teacher. I spend most of my time working on art for school, but it is also a passion of mine. My hobbies in addition to reading manga, and making art are, reading, travel, photography, knitting and various other crafts.
Please forgive any mistakes I might make here, I am not terribly skilled with computers, but I will try my best.

Hey everyone!

I'm enjo. I'm from the US, and I was referred here by a friend, but I don't know what her username is (or if she even has one).

I'm pretty good with Japanese. I have a bachelor's degree in linguistics with a minor in Japanese, I've passed the level 1 Japanese Language Proficiency Test, and I spent a couple of years doing technical translations. Actually, I hated the translations because they all dealt with stuff like new polymers or drive shaft mechanisms and other stuff like that. It was more boring than any homework assignment I've ever had. :P

But, I still love Japanese, and I was hoping to get my feet wet with some manga translations. I really have no idea where to start, and it wasn't until earlier today that I was talking to the above-mentioned friend that I found mangahelpers.com. I still need to spend some more time looking around the site and forums, but if anyone has any advice on where to start, I'd love it!

Nice to meet you. Considering you know Japanese, you should Staff Recruitment Area section. Different groups/people are always looking for translators, etc. MH Academy section may also interest you in some way, I hope. We sure will love to see your translations.

Like thornofcarrion above me said, do check out the Staff Recruitment section, your skills are highly desired! Also, if you do begin to translate manga, you can get Translator status (your name in purple and bolded) after posting 5 translations

Also, perhaps you would like to join some fellow Japanese speakers over in the Japanese thread! We are all learners of the Japanese language there, and it's our avenue for practice and just to chill out I hope to see you there and all over the forums as well~
