I'm going to say Irene takes this one out high difficulty. Jellal and Cobra will be the biggest problems imo, the latter especially because of his hearing magic that can let him avoid spells and his dragon slaying magic which should be very handy against her. I think that Irene could still find a way to beat them though, I mean she has the power so she should be able to muscle out a win in the end. Then again, CS could cause an upset against her because of Cobra at the same time, but I'll stick with my gut feelings and go with Irene.

Eileen still wins. I mean August is stronger, but he cant be THAT much stronger, to the point where he can low diff someone that Eileen cant beat. That would pretty much be like saying August could low diff Eileen.
Eileen didnt perform well against Erza and Wendy, but she wasnt trying, she could definitely beat them if she went all out.
I'll say CS can put up a mid-high diff fight. OS have a lot of hax going for them, and Eileen doesnt have the luxury of being able to use all those haxes better like August can.

I agree with @Jean Grey. Taking into consideration that Irene had trouble with handling Erza and Wendy is just.. Sad.

Since Crime Sorciere would stomp these two, Irene is done here.

Irene would probably win. The gap in power between her and August cannot be that far like @Seven777 said.

I would say she'd have slightly more trouble than he did but would probably win around mid-difficulty. Also, assuming she can utilize her dragon form, then it'd be a stomp at that point.

The latest chapter was SO fucking disappointing, that every hype for Irene has vanished for me. Being handled by Erza and Wendy is just sad for someone who's been hyped as August rival.
Going for CS would mean that everything said about Irene is false, since she's supposed to be on August level and August no diffed CS.
But going for Irene wouldn't make any sense since she can't even handle Erza and Wendy, and CS with Jellal are way stronger than them.

Power scaling have always been debatable but righ now that makes absolutely zero sense.
I don't know what to think anymore, but one thing is sure, i'm still very salty about Irene. I'll go for CS mid diff.

I'm going with Irene. Some of you may think her hype is gone after seeing her fight with Erza and Wendy which I find doesn't mean so considering she only cared more about being human than the battle and also was more focused on Erza than Wendy who took that opportunity to go DF with her speed (which I don't think Irene is good at to react) to attack and while being affected by that then that's when Erza took that opportunity to hurt her. Their teamwork and timing of attacks is what made them able to hurt her and also once again cared more about being human than the fight. Despite the PiS, think about the impressive feats this woman has done such as changing and altering entire landscape and climate, being the one that managed to knock back Acnologia who claimed that she caught his interest, casted Universe One that affected a whole country, changing humans to basically anything such as a mouse, enchanting personalities into swords that resulted in Mira to use Alegria form (her strongest soul) against, enchanted an entire army of fodders stats that allowed them to overpower everyone (except Gildarts ofc) which got Makarov to use Fairy Law, and prevented Erza's numerous amount of swords from hitting her which she done demolished. Not to mention she's also prodigious in detaching magic from things also and can fly too. These feats aren't to be brushed off all because of a fight she was indeed dominating at first and was just playing with them then afterwards didn't really care about it anymore and just wanted to be human which as you saw, PiS will be the reason of her defeat and not that she's weak

Gotta thug it out and take Irene regardless of disrespect. Jellal and Cobra, maybe Meredy are the biggest threats. After 516 I'm more so leaning to high diff.

The fact Meredy is here is the biggest factor IMO, her being here is actually what makes this hard to decide. If we look back to the battle of Hargeon, we can see that when Juvia and Meredy were fighting Historia Keyes and Historia Zancrow they were only managing to put up a fight, and even then it looked like the Historias were winning. But the second Meredy linked with Juvia they one-shotted them. With the bonds that CS share, and the bond that Jellal and Meredy share, it would likely be a massive boost. And to make it worse for Irene, she'll be dealing with other attacks as the fight goes on and she doesn't really have any counters to their magic like August did.

Well then.... this changes things, but only in regards to difficulty. My problem here is that Jellal and the CS that faced August should be >, if not >>, Erza + Wendy, and they alone managed to break through Irene's defense. But then Irene is supposed to be a peer of August's so she should have no more trouble than easy/mid diff battle Hmmm.... I'll be fair and put it like this: By feats, CS, but by hype, Irene.

This could easily change though, depending on the next few chapters.

Dang everyone acting like the fight is already over.... I swear if August was the one who took damage from those attacks no one would downplay him this much. Heck Larcade got beat by freaking Sting yet no one downplays him at all. Heck people still call him the third strongest...

Jellal's best feat: Taking out Irene's man b!tch, Neinhart after being oneshotted by him.

Oracion Seis best feat: Angel shaking her booty Losing to Jellal pre-ts.

None of their feats are remotely close to Irene. Sheesh I remember when getting beat up wasn't an actual feat.

Irene transmutates them all into chairs or rats because this battle is without PIS. She curbs hard.

Larcade losing to Sting and Rogue is way worse.... He got pleasure resisted by pain, he got Hunger resisted by a cat, and he got sleep resisted by just will power. He's not top 3 yet people still believe he is more so than they believe Irene is top 2. Also that top 3 status is self proclaimed. None of the other S12 call him the third strongest.

Irene is not far more popular than August... even before the CS fight when Irene's feats were a head above August people still chose August as the clear the victor.

No one denies Eileen is top two.

Larcade was single out as exceptional long before he said it himself, and almost everyone thought he was top 3 before he said anything himself.
Everyone hates Larcade way more than Eileen too, she is extremely popular. Who knows, she may be even more popular than August.
