Fantasy Ishgar Mages Power Rate - [FINISHED]

Starting to thing we should have went FF arc style with this and had ft members vs ft members. Included Makarov, Cana, Elfman, Mystogan, Mavis, Mest, Levy, Lisanna. Then would not have gotten so far of the grid. Feel like we started pretty good and quickly derailed. Half these people have not had feats since gmg and other s have literally done nothing in this series (cough 3/4 of GoI)....

Imagine Rogue scoring more than two full marks above Rufus' average. Oh, wait.

With that the first one of The Twin Dragons falls, and obviously, it's Rogue. I'm quite surprised that he ended up so high, mostly because I see him as the weakest mage of the big five from Sabertooth. His shadow body is an incredible defense feat for sure, but is it still that cool after Gajeel can do the exact same? Like, Gajeel really dragged Rogue's potential after snatching his best feat. But still, Rogue is quite the special Dragon Slayer, isn't he? Apart of being able to enter Dragon Force at free will, he got another strange power-up that still serves as the mystery of the Grand Magic Games for all of us. Once Rogue himself is about to lose a fight, his "shadow" sort of transfers a new sort of power. Once Rogue gets possessed by this power, he completely loses control over his body. In the end this form, referred to as "Shadow Rogue", seems even superior to his Dragon Force. But, the question is, can he still use it after everything that happened? I wonder.

We know, what magic they use and that they're supposed to be the strongest in Ishgar, but they were used as hype tools for God Serena, who was used as hype tool for Acnologia, so in the end their performance in this arc (and whole manga, as they were introduced not so long ago) was less impressive than duo Elfman & Lisanna

True, though tbh, I have someone like Hyberion on Midnight's level, mostly because August complemented both of them on their magic usages, so I think GOI and CS should have been eliminated at around the same point.
If Hyberion and Wolfheim makes it into the top 10 I will be very VERY surprised.

I'm not good in power level discussions, but to do justice to Rogue - when Gajeel faced Bradman, he was in full power and when Rogue faced Historia!Bradman, he was tired, covered in bruises and he was hanging on the cross just a day before. Just saying

Bloodman = Gajeel

Disagree heavily, he may have been beat by Gajeel but that's because his lungs stopped him from getting poisoned and getting weaker, and Levy helped him escape Tenchi and the Second Seal.

Not saying Bradman is massively ahead of Gajeel, but his hax allows him to beat a lot of characters without much effort (hell, if he's up against a physical brawler he could kill them just by being near them).

It's tough to compare Goddy and Bradman, as the former is a raw powerhouse whilst the latter is Mr Hax. The thing here is that while Dragon Slayers can resist his MBP's, that's only 9 people. Mira can too but DeS takes care of her easily enough. So pretty much anyone else has to be able to one-shot him (August falls into this category, and Gray does too if Bradman's DeS doesn't make him somewhat resistant to Gray's DeS) or they're going to get contaminated and weakened more and more as the fight goes on. Add to the fact that Bradman has one of the best defenses among the Spriggans (MBP body and Absorption) and the chances of him being one-shot decreases heavily as he can either avoid the attack or mitigate some of the damage. Bradman just has a lot of variety in hax, and if this arc has proved one thing, it's that to beat hax you need to be the perfect counter to it or simply asspull your way to victory (Gray vs Invel, Wahl vs Laxus, Irene vs Erza etc.).

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! There goes my bae. I was really praying for her to become the dark horse of this rate and sneak into the top 10, but mweh. I think she has done pretty well though; I never expected her to end up with a higher score than any of the Gods of Ishgar.

Minerva used to be the factual strongest mage of Sabertooth, but things have changed since Sting achieved his brand new power-up. But still, Minerva is right there when it comes to the strongest female mages of Ishgar. She may have one of the most extensive magic types of the continent in general, sharing that acknowledgement with Arc-based Magic (used by the three strongest mages of the Seven Kin) and probably Memory-Make. Minerva can fully manipulate space itself. She can basically do anything with it; making it explode, distort and even move herself through it freely. Aside of this, she wields another type of magic that's, according to Mavis' reaction, very rare, called Yakuma Eighteen War Gods Magic. It's still a big mystery to all of us, but what we do know is that it's probably godlike. Gimme more of that please.
