In the past decade that I've been reading One Piece, I always wondered if, and when, Doflamingo would get knocked off his pedestal. His smug attitude and confident smile give you the impression that he'll never get defeated.

With this recent chapter, I have to say that it is so AWESOME to see Doffy coughing up blood! It's finally happening guys. Doflamingo is getting his ass kicked!

Is this an amazing moment in One Piece history for you too?

I know. I've read this chapter several times just for that panel. I always imagine how somebody who just read Mocktown arc or something like that would react to that panel. It was such a long road but now Luffy makes Doflamingo cough up blood. One of the most cunning and powerful people in the OP universe and probably the most fearsome Shichibukai.

Well we know for a fact that DD is afraid of certain individuals. For example the thought to face off against kaido is letting him sweating buckets. He also like all the other Shishis besides hawkeyes didn't even tried to face off against WB in the marineford arc. So he isn't as fearless and powerful as you believe him to be. He knows who he can fool and who he shouldn't anger at all. Besides that I believe the most powerful Shishis are the one who took out Z's crew and arm and Mihawk.

I don't think that counts. The Shichibukai were not willing to risk their lifes in the war, unlike the Admirals. And Mihawk is interested in fighting strong people, so...

Of course, this is amazing!

Doflamingo is a lot different from previous One Piece villains.

Crocodile and Moriah were already somewhat broken when Luffy faced them. Both failed in the New World, and that made them what they are, at least somewhat, as both worked on a "Plan B" to return to power.
Lucci fought for an ideal of justice, similar to Hody who fought an "Holy War".
Enel believed himself to be god, but with his powers in a location like Sky Island, he actually was kind of a god.

Doflamingo is just full of shit. He always talks big, but in the end he is just a really selfish and truly evil person. He wants to "destroy the world" as he said, but that is just his way of saying "I want to do my gangster business and mess around with people and their lives and feelings just for my own amusement". So far, he was always successful, he apparently doesn't even think of the possibility of defeat and that will be his downfall.

Well what makes Doflamingo so special is that he has been hyped for so long. Every major opponent so far was introduced relatively shortly before his encounter with the Strawhats. Luffy has fought hyped people before (Mihawk, Admirals etc.) but never with a chance of winning. Now this is the first time Luffy might actaully beat somebody who has been portrayed as an absolute beast from the very beginning.

We'll probably only get that sensation from Zoro once he fights Mihawk or Shiliew or whoever - depending on how that plays out. There aren't many people who have been hyped from the very beginning. Shanks, Whitebeard, Roger, Admirals, Mihawk, Doflamingo, Garp... Can't think of many more. Even the Yonkou were introduced relatively late compared to the others. The hype of Luffy facing a Yonkou would be even more insane but still - Doflamingo is the first monster Luffy has a change of beating.

I AM SO HAPPY

Luuuufffy-senpai is beating doffys ass. DD is until now from all the enemies that we faced the most EVIL and BAD of all.

Never has so many people suffered under a villain like doffy:

- law
- riku family
- dressrosa civilication
- tontatas
- neighbour islands
- bellamy
- all the strong fighters from new world who came to "win mera mera no mi"

i mean okay arlong, croco, enel, moriah was evil too and many suffered because of them, but DD is pure evil & a BACKSTABBER.
i hate him so much, die dofflamingo, DIE!
