Brandish might've tanked Aqua Metria but so did Lucy.

Yeah, I meant Star Dresses when I was saying "base". They are her most basic attacks compared to her Star Dress Mix, UM or Gottfried.

Mira was covered in injuries and if you watch their fight in the anime (and the rare moments we could see of it in the manga), Mira was the one at a disadvantage as she stayed in her Human Form throughout it and defeated Jacob with a BSS punch. Jacob was totally healthy when they fought.

Because Brandish allowed her to tank it because of her plan, Base attack would be no star dress as in “Lucy Kick”. They are minor, nonexistent or nonfactor compared to a hole blasted through her which was healed by Brandish. Again, meaningless when it was stated multiple times that Jacob nerfed himself when he had his eyes shut. And even in human form, Mira could still fight via against Azuma Which he felt fear from it too.

Lucy stomps. Her version of Alvarez could tank Jacob's attacks and she's already shown plenty to counter him. Not to mention the fact that he will just close his eyes at the start of the fight . Gemini + Lucy kicks + Gottfried then Bye Bye fodder Jacob.

Jacob was holding back back then, but even with counters Jacob counters right back with invisible weapons. Jacob would still be able to sense her even with his eyes closed. Gottfried would need time to cast, and Jacob can hit multiple targets at once, even before even needing to do all that, he can just clap his hands to save the trouble.

The problem is: if Jacob touches both of his hands, Lucy will be sent to another dimension and would lose. It's not easy to prevent Jacob from doing this movement.

The only way I see Lucy having a chance is using Gottfried, but that requires set up time, giving Jacob opportunity to defeat her.

Urania Metria can take him down too. Maybe even her star dress mix attacks. Jacob has awful durability. It took one shot from Mirajane satan soul form to take him down. In the 100 year quest Lucy was tanking many of those attacks.

Remember though Jacob was nerfed at that point as Mira stated twice, both in verse and in a Q/A. And his attack id quite impressive as it made a Thought Projection of Mavis go down writhing in pain while she managed to tank a Fairy Glitter which is stated to have the power of the light from the sun, moon and stars.
