Done [JP] Help with translating sentences

Translation:

うちにさあ　毎月どっかから女の子の写真が送られくるんだ
You know every month
A photo, from somewhere, of a girl gets sent to my house
その子がさこの当たりにいるみたいで
It seems that girl lives around this area.


実物を見たって　母さんが
Whenever my mum sees the actual person, she
泣くわ
cries
叫ぶわ
yells

I'm having trouble with translating the sentence above. The structure たって means even/even if, right? But "Even if my mum sees the actual person" doesn't quite fit.


俺までおかしくなりそう
Until even I seem like I'll become strange. - Not really sure if that is completely correct.


Could someone tell me what the top two kanji in the picture below are?

The たって particle also means however, which would fit in with your translation...

As to the second sentence...I guess until it seems like I become strange as well. or until it seems like I feel strange too would work a bit better, or in both versions just ditch the until and replace it with a comma or three points...

I can't really decipher the kanji, so with that you will have to wait until some better translators come along...

It's 紫織 as in the name Shiori.

As for the first sentence, without more context I would probably go with "Yet, when my mum sees..."

For the second sentence, I would make a correction. 「頭がおかしくなりそう」 is a fairly common phrase in Japan and is usually used in the context of "I can't take this anymore" or "I'm so overwhelmed I'm going crazy." So, I would translate the second sentence as, "even I am going crazy," "even I am about to lose it," or something to that effect. Here, おかしい probably isn't referring to the speaker himself being "weird" per se.

But then again, it's been a looooong time since I last read anything in Japanese, I'm rusty D:

Well, while it might be true that たって has that kind of connotation (i.e. "even", "however") you're actually dealing with different form here, namely:

見たって -> that's 見た + って, i.e. past form and a "casual quotation particle"

So I'm with sal-chan's take on this sentence.

実物を見たって母さんが
泣くわ
叫ぶわ
俺までおかしくなりそう

Whenever my mom saw the thing (or maybe better: one of those things)*,
she'd cry
and yell
until it would even seem strange/weird to me.

*[TN: I think this is referring rather to the picture(s) than a person. 現物 is used synonymously to 実物.]

That's how I would have read the passage but maybe you should wait for some more opinions.

Oh, and kudos to sal for deciphering those kanji. I was staring at the thing for a good amount of time but didn't get anywhere.

Just to rephrase a couple of sentences.....


実物を見たって　母さんが 泣くわ 叫ぶわ =
母さんは 実物を見たと言って, 泣くわ 叫ぶわ（で大変です）。

---> It's rather "says/saying that ~ " instead of "whenever (my mom) sees ~"
----> 実物 is the real /actual person (in the photos).

Mom said that she had actually seen the girl. / Mom says that she has actually seen the girl. --- something along the line.
見た <--- don't use present form.

• 泣くわ叫ぶわ

(You can also translate it literally. It's up to you.)

• "It seems like even I'm about to go crazy. " <---- You could remove "It seems like even," or start your sentence with "I feel like I'm ....."
