SERIOUSLY????!!!! No D. Gray-man chapter??? again?! I will die, i really miss DGM

Hey hi. I've been thinking of picking up D-Gray Man....should I see the anime first or go with the manga? I heard they added some fillers in the anime.
I've been looking for a good series to follow..is it worth the time for D-Gray Man?

Go for the anime. The fillers are nice. And they inserted a few parts from Novels, IIRC.
I think it's worth to watch. Nice OST, Nice seyiuus.

Don't read the manga first, unless you can buy it. The scans quality was bad in the begining. It made it hard to understand the pages.
But remember this: DGM gets into hiatuses often.

Yeah, I second anime. The scan quality and Hoshino's drawing at times was pretty... hard to understand in fights xD

I used to read and rewatch the fights so that I'd understand what's going on in manga panels because it was seriously confusing.

You should probably stop after you finish the anime. It'll become pretty hard to continue that series after the Timothy arc; the art would drastically change, and the characters' personalities would become, rather, questionably "gay" in a sense. At least, that's what I think.

Well, there's nothing wrong with that. Though you do bring up another point, I kinda dropped it after it made the move to SQ, it just became rather odd with the pacing. Too confusing for me tbh.

Hishino started making all of the characters really hard to tell apart. Plus a bunch of the main cast doesn't appear, and tons of the plot seems to barely care about anything that came before. That and just the general complexity of the story makes it hard to follow. Things about memories, multiple personalities, what's real and what isn't, who's dead and who isn't, all that. I think the series is still okay, though. It's better read in volumes.

I also dropped gray after its switch to sq, because I didn't understand anything at all anymore. a chapter every month didn't helped me in that regard. i thought the editor was supposed to help the mangaka to make it better in the point of view of a reader. could it be that there is no editor assigned to her or is he is dead since long ago?

I read D.Gray-Man in volume format for the first 20. It was a good series up to around volume 15, but then started to drop in quality a bit. When I finally caught up to the serialization, it became impossible to follow. The story isn't well suited for monthly and it doesn't help that the author doesn't even serialize consistently. First you don't remember what happened last time, then you just don't care anymore.

Bringing up this topic again...why isn't Tegami Bachi being scanlated anymore?
I know the hard work Manga Editors put to bring us fans chapters and really appreciate it...maybe there aren't as many fans of TB as other series like Claymore,Ao no Exorcist...are any other group willing to take it up?

We have a problem by the way. We have no raws after chapter 59.

As for DGM, I'd rather read it when it's finished. If Hoshino will ever manage to end it that is.

Just curious, anyone know who this Osaki Tomohito guy is? Light searching shows that he did a Ginpachi-sensei book with Soriachi, but that's it. And now he's doing the story for Te to Kuchi

Hmm...ya I know that one.
But in the end, the series isn't scanlated anymore right? (That's what I meant)
I meant that why isn't it getting the kind of attention which other series gets...I do not know how the process works, but if (other) Manga Editors get raws of series running in the same magazine, why doesn't the raw provider send Tegami Bachi's scans as well?
Anyways being a fan of that series,I don't plan on giving it up...waiting for the next chapter!

Short answer: It takes time the don't see worth to spent on TB.
Long Answer: As far as I know you need to cut out every thing page by heating the glue and put each one on the scanner. My guess is that it will take at least an hour, which is as stated above probably too long and bothersome for a series that doesn't get much attention. On the other hand it is available in english by vihz, why not buying those volumes?
