Re: The official Jump Square thread

oh crap! New One-shot by Etoile's mangaka (Etoile was a series and and now an inactive project of mine.)

Anyway, Etoile was a series that ran in Monthly Jump (the Predecessor of Jump S.Q. for those who still don't know) from the Issue #3 2007 up until Issue #6 2007. No specific summary was ever made but it is known that the setting took place what seemed like the middle ages.

I'm looking forward to this one! I'll put it on top of my to-scan list for next month.

Re: The official Jump Square thread

Yeah, I was going to scanlate that and Dohran (by the mangaka that recently made the one-shot named Cross in S.Q. II.) Oh right, and I have all the volumes of both series still (i think...)

At least I still have Tegami Bachi as a pending series. I don't know if that'll change or not though since it got licensed.

Re: The official Jump Square thread

dohran? i vaguely recall that too. heh you're a man after my own tastes after all asakura!

and T-B seems to be getting serialised, so the speed of the licensed releases will play a part surely

Re: The official Jump Square thread

Finally got my issue of JSQ, wasn't sure if I would be able to afford it this month >.<

Cover:

New series, Genkaku Picasso (Illusion Picasso)

I'm scanning Matsuri, this new Picasso series (the first chapter at least, if there is interest I'll continue) and if no one else has done/foundTegami by the time I'm done with Picasso, I'll scan that too. I'm no longer Editing it due to its being licenced, so it's now lower on my priority list.

Unfortunately I cannot commit to scanning any more series as I'm low on time these days and weekends fly by way too fast.:darn However, the job that is eating my time is the same job that's alllowing me to continue buying JSQ, so...
...The English version of T-B is getting seralized? where?:3

Re: The official Jump Square thread

Why is there no thread for ultra jump, or in other words, why does (almost) noone scan it?

sry if that's the wrong place for my question, but dunno where else to put it :darn

Re: The official Jump Square thread

well yeah it is the wrong thread.

but in general it's because raws surface for the series people scanlate, and much of the rest is just too far in or hasn't caught interest. and if it does then it gets picked up in tank form.

Re: The official Jump Square thread

Shiki's bigass art last month was because it was an ad for the tanko volume 3:) I dunno, the last time Shiki got the cover it was a bit of a mess.:sweat

I dislike Rosario+Vampire, but even I have to agree that the art can be beautiful. I hope that someday the manga-ka will do something that's not ecchi so I can enjoy the art without cringing:XD

Oh, and it looks like the next new series will be something about ice skating:D art by Takemura Youhei (Meg Ryan no Kimi) and story by Tsutsumi Amane(?) They're still tightlipped about what exactly Komi's one-shot is though, maybe he hasn't handed it in yet.

Re: The official Jump Square thread

ah i see! and you're not wrong, i wasnt too keen on that. but the colour pages have been very pleasing :D

ah an ice skating story..... could be pretty interesting! but then i've never seen a series focused on that before (apparently there was a failed wsj series called yuuto but i never checked it out)

Re: The official Jump Square thread

It's a little jarring to see Ellie and Kiri featured so prominently. It's keeping this little tiny bit of hope alive that DA may be revived for SQ. Or at least get one final chapter :/ I'm not getting my hopes up.
