Katakuri is way taller than Luffy

[Mugiwara Store]

Luffy and also the remainder of the straw hat Pirates are coping with big Mom's kids throughout the entire Cake Island arc within the One Piece manga, however with the manner Oda styles his characters, typically fans will forget the dimensions disparities between them.

Big mom has had some massive kids, and her strongest son Katakuri uproariously towers over Luffy once you compare the heights of the two.

All those panels of Katakuri's punches and kicks on Luffy's face shouldn't even be possible, since his hands and feet are bigger than Luffy's head...

[TitaniumOxide]

Luffy obviously inflates just his head so it is proportionate to Katakuri's fist and foot as he is geting punhced and kicked so us viewers do not easily notice the disparities in size.

From what i saw in the manga Luffy's height is about chest height or just below that of Cracker.

And in G4 he was almost about the same height as Cracker

Just about every enemy Luffy fights is quite a bit larger than Luffy himself. I don't really like that Oda makes all of the enemies needlessly huge (Moriah, 22 feet tall.. really?), but it doesn't really bother me too much since he obviously forgets the proportion of Luffy to enemy in the actual fights.

Do we ever get a direct comparison between Cracker and Luffy?

At least Cracker does looks very big here:

[GodOfDestruction]

The wiki has Katakuri as 16'8. Which would make him 3.5 times the height of Luffy.

[ShiranuiShiranai]

They're way taller than Luffy so make a scene like these in the anime opening look way more epic.

The panel with Katakuri on his back & luffy standing next to him was some real david & goliath type ish....
