Well those were the rules, cos I couldn't speak much, and it was an "old" family. No curfew now xD

Yes, there was the barrier of language. Did you go to Japan without knowing nothing of Japanese, or did you know something already?

They let you stay out until 11 pm? And are you still complaining? lol
You have to understand that you're in an unknown country and they're responsible for you. They are just thinking of your welfare. I think they know what they're doing and I would act the same way.

Actually, if it were here in Brazil, you should be at home at 9 pm or earlier.

Ofc I am complaining ... it is just my family that is like that so yeah it sux! I wanna stay longeer! I will try to think of something that could help me!

I'm on vacation and staying at home doesn't mean I don't know what happen out there.
I was already robbed in broad daylight while speaking on the cellphone. You don't know what happens here everyday. Although here is worst than in UK, there are bad people everywhere and go out after 11 pm doesn't help in your safety in a foreign country bigger than yours. If your parents and the people in the house you're staying are saying that, it's because there is a reason for this, it is not to annoy you, I'm sure.

Just ignore me and your parents if you'd like, you appears to be so proud of your experience of 17 years...

I may not be an old geezer, but my advice was sincere and I'm older than her and I live in a country known by you guys as a forest full of barbarians. It is not like that, but it is not heaven as well, far from it.
Anyway, my advice was sincere and even so, she treated me like that.

She is in Bristol, big city as well, 11 pm is pretty reasonable indeed. She arrived there 3 days ago and she is behaving like someone who lived there her entire life. XD
I'm 19 years old and I stay at univerisity until 10 pm, my mother almost calls the police if I'm not at home 11 pm, and I live here since I was 5~6 years.

Sure, but the fact that she doesn't undestand her host family view and complains, and I understand and think they're are right, shows the difference in experience between her and me. XD
Be honest, if you were her host family, you would let her stay out later than this? Or 11 pm is ridiculously early for Europe standards and I don't know? XD

Yes.

1st its not the rule of my host family ... its EF stupid rule the 18+ can stay how much they want they dont even have to get home ... AND most of the host families of under 18 dont give a damn either cuz EF would never be able to know if I got home in time or not unless something would happen so Yeah

18+ people are adult and answer for their own acts. Underaged people, on the other hand, doesn't answer for their own acts. This rule exists to protect the host families and doesn't need to be fiscalized because they use the judgment of the people. If there are host families that don't follow the rule, they assume the risk of taking responsability for whatever may happen. Your host family is doing this to you to protect your safety and them themselves. Of course you don't care, it is not you who will take responsability if something happens, they will.

Complete 18 years before speaking for yourself.
