I'm the only one who thought the art wasn't that good? It made the series look awkward as hell, not to mention that it was total goreporn and had incredibly weird fetishizations.

It was done in a way to convey intensity, I get that. But a lot of the time characters had completely fucked up body proportions, even by the series' standards. Not saying the art was bad, but it was definitely not an 11/10 for me. I'd look to Blade of the Immortal or Berserk for that.
