Chapter's up!

Holy shit, this might be quite easily my favourite match of this tournament. The blow Ryuki delivered was indeed a lethal one, Naidan just speeded up the process of death by himself. Gotta say that after the last few chapters, the possibilities of Liu being the Tiger's Vessel have decreased dramatically in my eyes. But damn, Naidan was probably my favourite fighter out of the ones that have fought thus far in the Purgatory team. To think that he would die like this... F in the chat for the Mongolian Gogeta.

Some other interesting points:
  • Liu is one of the three Demon Fists of the Purgatory Team. The first one being introduced was Lu Tian and the second Liu Dongcheng. The third's probably gonna be Fei IMO.
  • "Don't trust Nicolas". Does that mean that it's possible he's a Worm member or something else? His behaviour thus far has been very strange. First, he said he didn't remember losing to Jose and in chapter 84 he wondered why Naidan couldn't just kill his opponent. The first one could simply imply he has bad memory but what he said in chapter 84 is extremely suspicious. Given the info we have thus far it's safe to assume that he has been in Purgatory for a lot of time (he was defeated by Jose a long time ago) yet he made a comment like this, on a tournament where killing isn't allowed. It's almost as if he was completely new to Purgatory. Could it be that he's a clone of the real Nicolas just like the fake Yuzaki Mumon we saw previously going up against Tokuno? That one was stated to be stronger than the real one so I wouldn't put past it for him to be a stronger version of the real Nicolas. I don't really think he's the Tiger's Vessel though, especially given how it was implied that there could be more Worm infiltrates among Purgatory.
  • Liu wants to kill Ryuki before leaving the ring. Is he gonna be stopped by one of his fellow Purgatory companions or someone on the Kengan Team is going to intercept him? Whichever the case is, this should be really interesting.
Also, poor Ryuki. You can tell by his face that he really didn't want to do it but had no other option. It was either incapacitating/killing him or be killed. Not to mention that he has been instructed since he was a child to kill any Worm Member by Mukaku. Obviously, that whole dogma wasn't going to completely disappear all of a sudden, even with all of his interactions and development with Koga. He tried his best to not do it, but given the overall circumstances, he had no other choice at the end. Both Kengan and Purgatory lost in this match.

I think that hit ryuki dealt with was already fatal naidan just speed up the process so he won't have to suffer.
What a dude though.
He was probably my favorite character among the purgatory characters so far.
Koga had this weird shocked face but in a way like he is going to either blame or lecture ryuki for what he did for sure.
Let us hope naidan is not really dead and our good kengan doctor hanafusa aka one of armin's evolution is going to revive the man 😂

First blood.
I had almost no doubt both Naidan and Ryuki will survive the match. I expected Ryuki to manipulate granny technique to a less dangerous form and be the good boy by the end of chpater.
I'm shocked. Nice job. Loved the chapter.
I know I said it multiple times, but after Naidan entered the ring, the story has skyrocketed in every aspect.
I hope his fly to the azure sky does not put an end to this lovely trend.

Adding to Shadowlord's points, there're also those lines about "mission accomplished", and "Ryu is the connector, lead us to the future..." I do wonder what's the hidden agenda for Ryu.... Clearly the match between the Purgatory and Kengan is just the facade of a deeper confrontation.

Perhaps naidan was a clone? It will be interesting if the real naidan is alive

Sandrovich was like you thought ryuki is going to be irrelevant in the plot?
No no 😎

I'd like to see him again, and would be happy if the real version of him is still alive.
But his death can mean a lot as well. Loyalty, Conviction, or even loneliness probably.
It's a win win for my inner fanboy whether he is dead or alive.

Wondering why the chapter's title is "To the Azura sky" when Naidan calls Ryu 'Omega'...

Azure is a tone of blue. "The blue sky". It's alluding to Naidan dying.
Ah, nice. Should have to be something to Kengan Azura too, I guess. Since Ruy seems to reached the 'Omega level'... It seems a word play there

Perhaps, I don't know.

The words Naidan whispered to Liu before going into the ring were "See you in the azure sky", meaning "see you in Heaven / the afterworld". Now he did indeed go there, so the title is fitting in that sense.

What naidan said to liu bothered with a 2nd thought.
At 1rst i thought it was the typical goodbye

Giving it a 2nd thought it was like naidan saying to liu that they are gonna meet in heaven meaning that liu may die at some point in omega as well or at least a possibility.

Lads the hype hit the roof i think

Chapter is up enjoy

Kengan omega chapter 88 touch & go

Wild chapter:
  • The last one of the Three Demon Fists was, as expected, Fei.
  • Liu was looking mad beastly. That Earthquake footstep looked superhuman to say the least. What the fuck was that? How can a guy so small generate so much power with stomping his feet?
  • Lolong moved! And he didn't only move. He stood up, opened his eyes, walked and spoke. Thank god this didn't happen in November, otherwise Terashi would have failed the No Nut decisively. That's probably the reason he didn't go to the ring :XD
  • Raian being Raian and spicing things up. Jurota didn't even flinch in the face of his punch, Tian blocked it like nothing and Lolong just... was moving to exit the ring (wonder how this much can infer he's incredibly strong in Raian's mind lmao, it's probably because of the aura he gives and because he's Lolong). Those three got some hype in this chapter besides Liu.
  • Nicolas is turning out to be pretty much the most interesting Purgatory member currently. The more chapters that go by, the crazier he gets. I still don't think he's the Tiger's Vessel. Neither do I think is Liu at this point. He may be related to the Worm though.
  • And... here goes my safest bet of Kanoh vs Lolong lmao. It's like Sandro reads the reader's predictions to prove them wrong haha. That was extremely surprising. Tian already got some hype in this chapter by blocking Raian's punch like nothing, but now he's just gonna take what's probably one of the strongest, if not outright the strongest, fighter of the Kengan Team. @LaserBeam Remember what we said a long time ago about Lu Tian giving Kuroki vibes? Depending on how this match goes, this notion could end up being true.
  • Tian and the ring he showed is probably related to the Gu Ritual or maybe to the guy who taught him the Niko Style? I don't see any more reasons that would force Kanoh to step in the ring so quickly. He looked pissed as well. It's probably related to the Gu Ritual given his nickname (Three Demon Fists: Centipede) and if it that ends up being the case, Lu Tian could be related to the Worm as well. That or he's one of the survivors of the ritual just like Kanoh? Idk.
It's going to be hard to wait for the next week.

Damn right it hit. Kanoh has among the best fights of the series. IMO, his fights against Gaolang and Kuroki are easily Top 5 material. His fight with Okubo was also great. Can't wait for him to wreak havoc next week. We should also learn some interesting info.

What will be Muteba's role? It's like if Toyoda would be calling Naidan's substitute. But substitute for what?

This chapter show us how the blocking moves increase the hype... lol. Ohma blocking Lui was great and also Tian blocking Raian.

Blocking itself is a hype but the real hype is in details of this for example when raian punch was blocked by tian lu effortless the hype was not only he blocked raians punch but if you noticed raians knuckles have minor injury which is the real hype because this means not only he blocked raians fist but also dealt lesser damage in the forms of scratches and all that casually.

In lui case when his punch blocked by ohma not only that but his fist was reflected without ohma receiving any kinds of damage.

These details are big game difference.

ok here is a funny edit pic i did for kengan

What a chapter. Nicolas is wrong about the tattoo though since it is a black centipede and not a white one which implies a different faction. "Tokita Niko" comes back up again and Kanoh was an experiment to find a Tiger's vessel as many assumed. I wonder which "Niko" it is that they are referring to and how much Kanoh actually knows. Hope the author does not give Kanoh more info that would have made sense to be revealed in Asura making it feel like a retcon.

Tokita nico are all those that gaoh mukaku trained they took that name to spread mukaku's legacy because he was too old to do this by himself so i think it makes sense that name was referred.

As for agito it seems like it is going to be formless vs formless.
