Just want to clarify. Read about the 200% plus power-ups match ups(don't have the mind to read all the comments). Why not just use 100%? so it won't be as confusing.
Here's my two cents on kurapicas ET:
It gives him free non-filtered access to nen factions/group/type(100%), he's basically a walking swiss-army knife. On the other hand it doesn't give him info/knowledge about said type, hence it's greatest downside, he can't possibly master something that he hasn't trained on or atleast put his mind on. It does however give him a SIGNIFICANT(note the caps), SIGNIFICANT boost to both physical and nen pow levels. You know why I said significant? because at the time of the hunters exam he could barely open the Zaoldyecks 1st gate, how'd he fair a match up with hisoka? or was hisoka just playing him? thats to attest his phys strength. Now to answer the thread, the only way for kurapica to block BBI is for him to have a vast amount of both physical and nen pow level. I'm sure we can all conclude that nonET kurapica is an ant compared to Uvon in terms of physical strength and nen pow level so there must be an explanation. To make this even more understandable lets put this in numbers:
normal human phys str max = 10;
kurapica normal max phys str = 60, normal max nen pow = 100;
Uvon max phys str = 1000, max nen pow = 3000,
Now the question does that look like something of equal terms?
So you gotta ask, you gotta ask is kurapica considered a normal human?
(Exaggerated, I know. But somehow useful.)

Kuruta! to put this simply just think of them like the chimera ants. And you'll somehow get a faint picture of his somehow debatable potential.
