Future rogue might be able to win since he has string's power so he should be able to eat Larcade's pleasure tentacle magic and might get a power up from it. Hunger can be countered by entering shadows which Future rogue is better at doing than String. Only problem is hunger but it can be fought through since there is only Larcade to eat.

Future Rouge is more skilled in using light than Sting himself. And he has way more mastery over shadows than current Rouge, plus shadow takeover powerup.
It's likely that he's far stronger than x792 dual elements Sting as well, in stats (he had 6 more years of training)

All this suggests that Future Rouge low-mid diff. He's a hard counter

It is. 1 year ts is a different timeline than the one from Rogue so in that future they weren't as strong as they are now.

WSDM needed help as well from Kagura against Larcade, and even Future Rogue was defeated by Natsu before timeskip.

It took AF Natsu to beat him with extreme diff (FR even won in the alternative time that Ultear reversed IIRC), and we know how big a boost dragon flames are for Natsu. No shame in that L

LFD was tired and fought constantly without rest for hours So not at best condition. Natsu was still grievously injured even with AF, the anime did not even show Natsu losing to FR before Lost Ages, even stated by Hiro that Spriggans are stronger, so those Dragons strength boost is not significant.

I was never impressed by Larcade but the Manga says us the SP12 are the strongest enemys FT Guild ever faced(back in the days).And F.Rogue isnt a part of them
