I went to community college during my senior year of high school and the year after.
I highly recommend it, kdowns. It's cheaper, the classes are easier, and also much smaller! University seems great, don't get me wrong, but the shock of how difficult it will be after high school (especially shit-tastic Texas public education) could be crippling. It's so much eaiser to take the step in between. I'm not disappointed with it at all.

There are a lot of old people though. I was the youngest person in nearly all of my classes.

Yup. I was in the top 5%, but still went to community. And just so you know, all 67 credits I'm earned at community have transferred.

Be careful with the more prestigious universities though, they won't always accept that many credits since they're snobbish pricks who want your money.

Well I can say my class precentage isn't that good... I had a rough Freshman Year... But I still had a college in NY offer me a scholarship because of my ACT scores. And I don't really plan on going to a prestigious university...

It really is. The student debts here are outrageous. Sure, you have a better job, but you don't get to buy shit since you're paying for your school until you're 45.

Yeah... 40k a year... NO THANKS is what I said after looking it up... And I agree with you Naomi with school debts... I qualified for enough from FAFSA that my Community College tuition is sorta paid.

That's good. So far, FAFSA hasn't helped me out, but I'm still waiting.
I'm pretty sure you have to take at least 7 hours to qualify, and I'm still hoping the lab portion of my o-chem class will open up and I'll get approved for my physics course to bring me up to 8. :/
