It's indeed strange that we haven't heard anything about Neuro nor Liar Game, can i be that they still decide to announce that later this year?

Geez, I was expecting Neuro...or at least Sket Dance. How I'd love to buy some legal Sket....

Viz....You don't license all the awesome manga from Weekly Jump you have to choose form, instead you decided to go with Yu-Gi-Oh! R (which btw, the have started releasing for those who don't know). Shame on you.

At least they licensed Bakuman and Toriko. Hopefully Mago and Sket Dance, at the least, will be coming soon. Neuro continues to surprise me. VIZ's taste in seinen suggests their buyers like that style of manga. Neuro may be shonen but it fits in with a lot of the series they are licensing for VIZ Signature.

I'm sure they are just announcing minor, first quarter manga right now. Bigger ones like Neuro probably won't come out that time of year. Retail sales are to low after Christmas.

Well, since their Shonen Jump line will have several manga ending soon

YuYu Hakusho - 1 more volume
Knights of the Zodiac - 1 more volume
Nora - 2 more volumes
Rosario + Vampire - 1 more volume
Whistle! - 1 or 2(?) more volumes
And I think JoJo is about over with what they are planning on releasing.

So They should start a line of new series coming in soon. They tend to like to keep a certain amount of series going at the same time.

As well as Yu-Gi-Oh! R and Ultimo....so maybe they won't have any others for awhile then.

Forgot about those two. I assume they'll bring over something else next year. Shin Prince of Tennis is definitely coming. Part one was so popular. Mago is a can't miss for U.S. release, action Shonen Jump. It will do well. Sket Dance should have a solid following too.

How are the Gintama sales for VIZ? They could easily figure out if they should license Sket Dance just by looking to how Gintama is doing over here.

U.S. sales figures are undisclosed. Gintama never makes the N.Y. Times manga top. The book store I work at, one of the largest in the country, only stocks the most recent two or three volumes. We always get new ones in, at least. I don't know as that will stop VIZ from licensing other Jump comedy. They seem to license what they like and have realistic sales expectations.

New omnibus releases:
One Piece: East Blue
It seems to be a 3-in-1 book with regular size. (So it's not a "VIZBIG")

Release dates:
1. December 1, 2009
2. January 5, 2010
3. March 2, 2010
4. May 4, 2010

Covers (source: amazon.com):

Del Rey Omnibuses: They will release a lot of omnibus books next year. Here's a list:

Samurai Deeper Kyo 35/36: December 15, 2009
Samurai Deeper Kyo 37/38: June 22, 2010
Mushishi 8/9/10: July 27, 2010
School Rumble 14/15/16: July 27, 2010
Air Gear 15/16/17: August 31, 2010
Shiki Tsukai 7/8: September 28, 2010
Orange Planet 3/4/5: September 28, 2010
Hell Girl 7/8/9: October 26, 2010
Wild @ Heart 1/2/3: October 26, 2010
Yagyu Ninja Scrolls 8/9: October 26, 2010
The Wallflower 22/23/24: October 26, 2010
Papillon 5/6/7: November 23, 2010
Psycho Busters 6/7: November 23, 2010

As you can see they will change a lot of currenty running series from regular tankoubon into omnibus. These series will not released apart.

More or less, even though they won't be called VIZBig. There will be four volumes of One Piece: East Blue, each an omnibus with three volumes. They cost three dollars less than VIZbig so I wonder if there will be all the bells and whistles (bigger dimensions, color pages, etc.) If they are VIZBig by another name I would probably get them. If not, no.

If I'm correct it's just 3-in-1, nothing more then that.

Besides the bad cover, the size is like the regular chapters and there are no extra additions to the volumes.
