Hi, guys, this is my first thread! I'll keep it short. We all know how a lighthouse works. When it comes to the shinsoo field what matters most is the rank of the lighthouse and the ability of it's user. I always imagine the shinsoo field something like Trafalgar Law's Room ability. Now let's say that you own a Opera grade lighthouse, meaning that your shinsoo field is at least the lenght of the tower. You are also Tu peri Tperie and as one of the 10 FH your shinsoo control/wavecontroller abilities are above the norm ( I remember data Eduan blasting about 30 bangs of electricity in his fight with Zahard and he's not even a wavecontroller ). You find yourself at the 120th floor while your enemies are at the 20th. Could you theoreticaly destroy them one by one whilst being 100 floors apart? I mean, if that's not broken I don't know what is. Is this why Tu Perie is ranked higher than Molic, Eurasia and Gustang? Will AA ever get his hand on a Opera grade lighthouse? What do you guys think?
Tu Perie Tperie is one of the 10 family leaders I am looking for the most.
He should have completely broken abilites with his lighthouses, his opera, and his eyes of God.
People tend to think he has to be the weakest 10 families leader, but I don't think so, just like Traumerei who is said to be one of the weaker ones, I disagree with this statement, it's just speculation.
Welp, the series has specifically mentioned that wave controller + lightbearer is the strongest 2 man team. So yeah, this is pretty broken considering other presumably powerful combinations out there. Say, fisherman and wave controlller or defender and spear bearer.

I think the right way to look at this is within the frame of how competitive a given style is within the tower. From purely a combat perspective of course. Each family head is associated with a specific combat style which we are relatively familiar with thanks to the lore. Generally fisherman > scout > spear bearer > wave controller > light bearer in terms of combat (which acknowledging that positions are mostly for hunting shineuh). fisherman are the first line of offense. They jump in there, take and deliver damage. Then come scout who run around solo and risk facing entire enemy teams. Close to fisherman in that regard. Spear bearers generally hang back and nuke/snipe shit. Wave controllers do ambiguous stuff with shinsoo. Lightbearers are the guys in the chair that provide a variety of support.
Within the ten families my speculation is as follows:
Tier 1
Hon - Eduan - yurin
Those characters in that order is just about cannon at this point. I would even argue they are the meta, the premier combat styles and attributes.
Tier 2
Han -Traumerie - Hana
The ari are apparently very skilled weapon users, presumably excelling at needles. My assumption is that they have weapon based shinsoo attributes (probably without the elemental stuff). This makes han someone pretty much built for combat.
Traumerei has who knows what anima... He can pretty much throw out just about any BS. And we have seen a fair variety of things from his children.
Hana is both a fisherman and wave controller... Which is a pretty scary combination.
tier 3
Bloosom
Eurasia is an offensive wave controller. She is probably worth keeping in tier 2 but wave controlling alone generally feels a bit less premier than other fighting styles.
Tier 4
gustang- Hendo Lok- tperie
And in this tier you have the folk whose skillset is primarily support rather than combat. Gustang is a defensive wave controller. Hendo lok is a defender.. Premier defense but not necessarily built for offense. Tperie is a lightbearer... Lightbearing is annoying but not a premier combat style.
Of course, there's probably a fair bit of wiggle room. And odds are the family heads can't easily defeat each other just in general. Though their fighting styles should be able to give us a very rough reference of where they stand in regards to each other. It just makes sense that family heads with talents focused on combat would be stronger than those whose talents aren't for combat.

The lore, which can be fuzzy, simply says they are unstoppable. On the other hand the series has a specific bit mentioning that lightbearer + wave controller is the strongest possible two man team combination:
What do you desire? Money and wealth? Honor and pride? Authority and power? Revenge? Or something that transcends them all? Whatever you desire—it's here.

Unless the chapter translation is wrong... Also worth noting, we don't know what hendo's primary position is. Though lore wise all family heads excel at everything which could play a part in this. And overall, considering the sheer utility a lighthouse brings for a wave controller (which is far more limited than a defender brings for a wave controller or spear bearer) it makes sense that it would be, on paper, the strongest combination.
