A LoneLobo Review

Hi guys! Welcome to a LoneLobo review. First I thought that this week's chapter would be awesome to review, but when actually writing it... I kinda noticed that this was a suuuuper straightforward chapter. Expect not that much of an analysis, but more of a retelling and some jokes.^^Oh, and check out toni783's review of the same chapter. I only noticed five minutes ago that there was a review already.
Anyway, for those of you who care about why there were not many reviews these past weeks, I have a simple answer: I had no time. And when I had time, there was no chapter or it was not a good one (I hate flashbacks, sorry guys). As I have exams heading my way, accompanied by term papers and a possible internship for three months directly after the semester... I only can hope that I will have the time to do a review. Because, I really really like this arc. That being said, let the review begin!

Chapter 628: Cleansing

Long Live the New King

No talking about the cover of this week, as it is kinda pointless to talk about it. Let's start with the chapter: Hodi (or Hordy, or Hordi, or...) tries to establish himself as the new king. However, the people do not seem to know him that good. This means that Arlong and Jinbei were famous pirates, but Hodi is a new player in this whole game. For them he isn't much of a pirate, but more like a terrorist doing a coup d'état. His first order: migrating even more human hating fishmen into the island. Or to put it bluntly: reinforcement for him. Meanwhile he shows of (Ex-)King Neptune to the viewers. That old man seems kinda beaten... but hey, look at Hodi's long scar. Zoro sure did some damage. Killing that old guy just know would be lame, so Hodi gives us a three hour limit until his execution... Hodi, Hodi, Hodi. I thought you were better than the stupid humans... didn't you guys learn anything from the battle at Marine HQ?

The List

Hodi then presents us with the list of signature collected by Otohime. He declars it a list of traitors and wants to hunt down every traitor on that list and kill them...oh man. That would a massive genocide, especially with Hodi using the word cleansing... oh man, that is hardcore. Anyway, every fishman is shocked. But not Luffy, he only reacts when Hodi addresses the Strawhat Pirates themselves. Zoro, Brook and Usopp are shown in a cage above rising water, so they will drown in a few hours. Now, that gets Luffy's attention: Who is surprised that they were caught in the first place. Oh, and Chopper goes crazy. Hilarious! Hodi announces that he will hunt Luffy down and take his head. But even that does not shock Luffy. And then we jump to our captured heroes.
We get an O.K. joke, an okay bones-joke and an AWESOME Robin impersonation by Usopp. Next is the real Robin siting in front of the Poneglyph (=mission accomplished). But this one seems to be some kind of letter from/or to Joy Boy. Who could that be? Possible a fishman. Possible a good old D. person, because most of them are joyfull like Luffy. However, my money is on a fishman.

Luffy vs. Jinbei

Last part of the chapter. Luffy is totally happy that his bounty went up to 400 Million and he gets smacked by Nami for that. Classic OP. Luffy changes quickly into action mode and wants to free his crewmates. Shirahoshi thinks the same and wants to go, but Jinbei stops both of them. He and Hachi think that Hordi uses Neptune as a shield against her Seaking speaking powers and she should stay there and be safe. Luffy understands that and orders Sanji to take care of weakling (lol) and wants to go himself. Prediction here: Sanji versus van der Decken in the future? Jinbei says that they should not go and fight. And then, Ladies and Gentleman, comes that one line of dialogue that made my day. Chopper: Because... we're humans. That coming from a speaking reindeer which ate the human-human fruit... THAT WAS EPIC.

Anyway, Luffy still wants to go to rescue his crew and to stop the suffering of everyone else. So, when he looked not interested in this chapter when Hordy presented the list and everything, he was thinking something. And now he wants to stop it. Jinbei is against this and intends to fight Luffy. Now, if you had asked me before this chapter what I would predict: I never would've predicted a clash between Luffy and Jinbei. Not at this time. I mean, come on. Don't fight against each other. Go ahead and kick Hordy's ass!... but that is the voice of reason in my head. My heart says: Let this epic battle begin!

Predictions

What will happen next week? Stupid question this time. Luffy and Jinbei will fight, it will be a draw, but Jinbei will let Luffy go. Or something like that

The three princes will attack Hordy meanwhile and... will be defeated. Or something like that.
